(Don't took any pics though x.x...just have the chat log)

07:45:09 <Public> Sage(20038490)
Yeah we really are too optimistic some times sorry

08:02:53 <Public> Sage(20038490)
Yeah the Sange is a big reason why we really want
08:03:02 <Public> Sage(20038490)
to give you another @#!%@ at MAG rewards

Future content:

08:10:19 <Public> Sage(20038490)
Honestly If we still have a decent Xbox 360
08:10:31 <Public> Sage(20038490)
population after this winter
08:10:49 <Public> Sage(20038490)
We should have more content developed for next yr
08:11:09 <Public> Sage(20038490)
PC/PS2 population is not a big factor at this point
08:11:17 <Public> Sage(20038490)
We wont close the server down

lvl 200 cap:

08:31:38 <Public> Hikaru(20041344)
hey sage is lv 200 the max in online mode?
08:31:57 <Public> Sage(20038490)
Actually the game might support higher than 200
08:32:19 <Public> Sage(20038490)
200 is the highest we could go in testing though

While talking about Fires of Illusion/Caves of Illusion:

08:55:13 <Public> Sage(20038490)
Actually looks like mission name might be
08:55:20 <Public> Sage(20038490)
"Phantom Fissure"

Lightning Mission Carnival Event:

09:22:57 <Public> Sage(20038490)
Lightning event should be in august
09:23:13 <Public> Sage(20038490)
Mission Carnival

Servers Moving:

09:36:45 <Public> S-T-H(20045365)
I heard you guys are moving too
09:37:06 <Public> S-T-H(20045365)
There was a notice in the help tickets
09:37:08 <Public> Sage(20038490)
Yeah we are moving a few blocks
09:37:25 <Public> Sage(20038490)
There will be a service disruption for a few days
09:38:26 <Public> S-T-H(20045365)
Completely cutoff for a few days or just a bit?
09:38:57 <Public> Sage(20038490)
Yeah we might be cut off for 2 days while we move
09:39:51 <Public> Sage(20038490)
The staff are moving July 4 weekend, but...
09:40:03 <Public> Sage(20038490)
we have a few more weeks to move the PSU servers
09:40:17 <Public> Alex Pm Helper(20047124)
are they gona be down
09:40:26 <Public> Sage(20038490)
Yeah for like 2 days
09:40:39 <Public> S-T-H(20045365)
You know you should probably announce something
09:40:42 <Public> S-T-H(20045365)
as soon as you know for sure
09:41:10 <Public> Sage(20038490)
Yeah, we do know its coming soon but
09:41:20 <Public> Sage(20038490)
the server admin want to delay as long as they can
09:41:28 <Public> S-T-H(20045365)
Ah
09:42:01 <Public> Sage(20038490)
The SEGA.com website issues are also complicated

Neudaiz GBR:

09:50:36 <Public> Sage(20038490)
Neudaiz GBR will be before carnival

About a cap higher than 200, I guess that would be possible in a future expansion ^^; (even though it was also said there that currently there were no plans for a new expansion >.<)

Jun 18, 2008, 06:35 AM
What would be the point? By the time we get to 200 I'll bet the highest we even see is 160-170ish as far as opponents. It's all gonna die in six seconds anyway, just like it does now. Getting more levels just seems dumb, we can already best the game (including what Japan has.) at our current cap. Maybe they should stop testing how high the levels can go and actually work on some of the leering problems in the game like uhh... BILLING.

Neudaiz GBR will be before carnival

I wonder how they will work this out with the yet delayed again mag extension?

Jun 18, 2008, 07:42 AM
Considering 'late-June' was the estimate for MAG, I really don't see a problem with it being early July.

Interesting to see an announcement about Lightning Carnival too. As for the server move, here's hoping they don't try moving the coffee machines at the same time :(

I lol'd.
First late June with early July MAG bonuses.
Now early July mag with likely late July bonuses...maybe even August.
For an event that began in April, and ended in May.

Good work Sega GM's! Just when we think you can't possibly fail anymore, you always top yourselves! I congratulate you both on putting your degrees in bullshit to outstanding use!

I iz b happy i not b paying 4 teh psu.

It is, indeed, funny that they, the Sega PSU Gms, especially Chillaura, said that the MAG extension, which is itself now late, would not delay any other updates. The humor, I think, is to be found both in the idea that there was a schedule to which delays could be noticed and in the idea that anyone believes them.

Carry on, friends at Sega! I imagine your office move will go very smoothly!

Well, there are some good news in there, if Neudaiz GBR is really before Dengeki event and if the event is in August, by October we might have a 3 to 4 months delay compared to jp (exactly 4 months delay if Parum GBR ends before October 24).

I bet they shut down the servers to move during the MAG extension xD

I'm seeing a lot of "planned for"s and "could be"s, so let's take all these points with a grain of salt. Still, good to have an update on what the current plans are.

Another thing I thought it's worth putting here (from the log):

Future content

08:10:31 <Public> Sage(20038490)

You know, I assume, which is never safe, so I shouldn't, of course, that the delay was hovering at but two months, and this, I want to cry, was less than a year ago.

Good news, if we want to use words as they mean, which we should, would be that the gap would shrink once again to but two months if not less. I believe you should have said, "it could be worse."

Ah, standards. If only some people had them! (Not referring to ezodagrom, naturally, but, rather, to Sonic Team and those in the US who gather a paycheck for doing very, very, very little.)

It is actually good news, if neudaiz GBR was after Dengeki event (it looked like it would be after), by October the gap compared to jp would be around 5 to 6 months...
Right now is around 4 months, if things go well (neudaiz gbr on july, dengeki event on august and parum gbr on september), the gap will be reduced to between 3 and 4 months.

how can they get more people if they dont sell anymore disks? i have a hard time finding the disk when my 360 messes it up....

At any rate, the predictions of the US agents of Sega have the track record of a no-legged, blind imbecile. Upon that, let us all agree!

Jun 18, 2008, 10:24 AM
well that can be good and bad that PSU future in the US is decided on 360's pop. but they have a pretty big sized POP. so i hope for the best but still i don't like sage he's a dick at times

I don't mind them delaying MAG by a week, that's not a big deal. I'm kind of surprised they said Dengeki is coming in August though. That means by the time MAG rewards are over we'll only have a month until the next event starts? Not that I'm complaining, I just didn't expect it that soon.

No plans for a new expansion? Aww, that's a disappointment but not unexpected. :(

Also, I'm glad to hear the PC/PS2 servers won't be shut down. I guess I was always a little afraid since our population is so small (compared to JP and 360)...

It's quite hard to decipher native GM garbeldegook, but I think a translation would either be:

1)We will be developing new content exclusive to the 360, due to the lack of players on pc/ps2. While we will not shut the pc/ps2 servers down, we will no longer continue to develop content for that platform.

or

2)If the 360 continues to have a large population, we will be developing new content for both platforms. The amount of players on pc/ps2 is not a deciding factor as to whether or not there will be new content. We will not shut down the pc/ps2 server.

or

3)We are full of BS.

Likely #2, but I wouldn't count out #1 or #3. Man, my head hurts after translating GM speak.

Maybe easier to understand with the full log (just put there what the gm said, there were alot of ppl talking x.x). When Sage was talking about 360 population someone asked "what about our population", he answered that it is not a deciding factor.

i understood that just fine.

If they dont have a good player base on either platform, y continue working on them? If at least 1 has a good amount of players, then you'll make content but for all platforms to make everyone happy.

"Phantom Fissure?" If they do end up going with that, I'd be happy. It'd be a nice change from the "...of Illusion" pattern the Japanese missions are following. But no matter what, I'll always keep the name "Gaping Volcanic Crevasse of Illusion" in my heart.

PC Popualtion doesn't matter? Boo. I pay good money to you sir. I was going to buy a 360 for SCIV, but now I might have to get PSU for it too, if they stop development for the PS/PS2 servers.

It's things like this, that make me think that Phantasy Star Portable won't have the download your PSU/AOI character ability when and if we get the game on the U.S. side. :disapprove:

No MAG until late, server maintenance/relocation being done by SEGAC (and perhaps during MAG), no one cares for the PS2/PC servers...

This is all rather depressing. :(
