NPCs don't have mags

Mags are mechanical partners given to hunters for questing, so I can understand why some of the NPCs don't have them, but why doesn't Bernie or whoever else is a hunter that I can't remember.

Don't know really, sonic team could add a simple mag to them, it's a part of the equips, similar to the weapon or any protection gear.

Yeah I thought that they should've had mags as well. I think Elenor was the only NPC that actually had a mag... and that was only if you did that whole Soul of Steel storyline (getting the mag to move)

Well, perhaps only montague and elenor (and the player, since he's acquainted with the two) understand and use mags?

Possible. But then there are a lot of hunters with mags they're not using.

Well, given Elenor's speech in that early mission (been so long, I don't remember the title) about how most hunter's don't know or understand mags, maybe they neglect them and they run off :O

Perhaps or maybe Sega was too lazy to give them mags or is it something more sinister.

Mag abuse is a real problem people, it needs to stop now. Yes, I'm looking at you, and you, and especially you.

I think Freeze may be closer to the truth, though, realistically. ST was too lazy to make individual mags for each NPC.

But the ideas about in-game are pretty cool.

Funny enough, it cant be because of Segas laziness, i mean look at the huge arsenal of weapons they added yet they didn't added a mag to npcs.

Yes but look how long it took for them to put that huge arsenal in, Four versions, and still no mags for NPCs not that it was really all that important but lazy is still lazy.

i think i read somewhere that hunters cannot see others MAGs, but sega left them in for CoOp mode to see. Somewhere in the story is says that hunters can't see eachothers MAGs. I do remember that.

Wait, Kireek ate his mag?

It was just a reference to the offline quests, the Soul Eater side story in the Waterfall Tears quest. Kireek, after trying to attack you (and losing), says something about how he likes to eat souls, then says something along the lines of, "Mmm, yes. You were especially tasty," so I do find it quite plausible he ate his mag.

well, on ultimate atleast they do damage, other npcs like bernie do 0 damage lol.

Since we are talking about Npc's, I guess it would be appropiate to talk about them in general. Well, I noticed that when one does missions, that an NPC may ask him/her to escort them. She would think, cool, but then she notices their level may be a bit higher. How can she protect them if they are of a higher level? Not by one, but at least five, or ten. Then, funnily enough, they also have a better weapon then her (maybe) but their attack sucks! Maybe its because they don't use their mags, upgrade their stats with materials and such. Lol I don't really know why I'm complaining, its not so bad. xD
