Lets say, there is some guy that moved into America from Canada because his job went down here. The issue of the death penalty came up, and everybody was talking about it all day, and then days more. Eventually, this guy decided to to say he was against the death penalty.

He said it ... then the other guys were furious. One of them then pinned that down the guy against the death penalty, and beat him to death.

Should the guy that murdered somebody for being against the death penalty, receive the death penalty for murder?

If it is the policy of the state in which this happened, to use the death penalty as a standard punishment for 2nd Degree Murder, then ironic as it may be, yes.
