Hey guys this is a new century, maybe we can learn to love one another when we quit being racist. Sure he comes from a different background but what's to discriminate?

(//_-)

&That whole Obama is the anti-christ video. <.Facepalmx7.>

"He will end us all." or something to that extent. A new "ending" may mean a new beginning. &Since when did being Islam become "evil". <.Which he isn't &if he is who fucking cares we're ALL people.>

Stupidity has reached an all time low this year.

No one in their right mind thinks Obama being president is gonna be the end of the world. People always think that about the next president and we're all still alive.

Mainstream politicians tend to make me exceedingly nervous nowadays, regardless of the color of their skin. Part of me says "Obama means well, and he's such a good speaker!" but then the other part reminds me I know very little about his political stances.

So, yeah.

how 'bout we just throw them together as first class idiots.

Now people around here are thinking another depression is coming on (gas prices, some paper is going out of business, and the whole InBev vs Anheuser Bush which is a local issue)

So, you're saying that if he was white but saying the same things he is currently saying you wouldn't vote for him, because he's not black and thus would 'side with all these fucking scum Corporations'? That's just as bad as saying you won't vote for him because he is black.

My view on Obama is that he has no experience and no record. He only has whatever he is saying and because that is always ambiguous that I have trouble even taking him seriously. Change and hope for what for instance? At least I know the positions of the other candidates. The reason why all the focus is on the people around him is because there is no content about him to go by so they go to the people he surrounds himself with. None of my qualms have anything to do with his race, gender, religious views or anything of that sort. No, all of my problems arise with what he wants to do (such as increasing capital gains and socializing everything but especially healthcare). His viewpoint on those two issues alone is enough for me to not vote for him because they are that important to me personally.

My point? Many people have very genuine reasons as to why they don't like his proposed policies. And for most people race is simply not one of the reasons.

I'm just against the media.
Obama is of black decent, but that doesn't mean he's gonna throw up gang signs and shout, "Sup Nigga!" like the typically accused "black man". If anything, his actions and attitudes are all "white" meaning that he's educated and sofisticated, even though these are all sad and low presumptions just because of someones race.

Obama, as a human, looks like he's going to be a good president as many people say. And guess what? He IS a human, so lets just shut up and deal with it. ;)

Who needs experience? LOL, George W Bush should be proof that no one needs experience to be President. He's just a puppet with strings. The people who really run this country in the background are the Freemasons and whoever attends the yearly Bohemian Groove gatherings in California.

His name is Barrack Hussein Obama. I'm sure his middle name, Hussein, is a popular name in East Africa, such as how, John, is a common name here.

I have no idea how the death of Jesus is associated with any of that. Jesus was never the son of God to begin with. Jesus was nothing more then a philosopher, no different then Socrates and Aristotle.

The dirt (sometimes manufactured) lobbed at public figures these days is probably no worse than mud slung centuries ago. Even the ridiculous attacks on would-be Presidents' families are nothing new.

But to get back on topic:
Interestingly enough, I've done a bit of original research on this subject, Sekani, which leads me to believe that your father is probably half-correct. Let me break it down for you guys:
In April of 1961, JFK authorized a covert CIA mission to send a single operative (codename: Judas) back in time to kill Jesus.
This, of course, was all done at the bidding of his true master: no, not the noble American People, but il Papa Buono himself, Pope John XXIII.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to uncover the plot's ultimate origins and goals, but I believe the aims of this mission were closely intertwined with that of the Second Vatican Council (announced by PJXXIII in 1959, though not
convened formally until '62). It is no coincidence that, mere months after Pope John XXIII's death in June of '63, President Kennedy was himself felled by an assassin's bullet*. The newly ascended Pope Paul VI (see creepy image here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Paulus_VI.jpg))
must have, I am convinced, disapproved of his predecessor's plans and, lacking the ability to undertake a corrective chrononautic adventure**, orchestrated his erstwhile servant's demise.

*Conspiracy buffs fond of the "magic bullet" story fail to recognize that any assassin dispatched by the Holy See would, (super)naturally, be equipped with thoroughly blessed weapons, imbued with the Mysterious Power of Divinity.
**The time travel device was destroyed immediately after its use (and my sources tell me the ashes of the schematics [burnt upon completion of the device's construction] were taken back into the past with "Judas").

I have trouble understanding outlandish claims with no hard evidence to back them up. A picture of a one-dollar bill with red marks drawn on it is not hard evidence of Freemasons running the country behind the scenes.

Do you really think a massive secret society with near-infinite power and authority, put in place by fell machinations and conspiracies, would be likely to weaken their control by doing something as asinine as putting "hidden" marks on paper money?

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the Founding Fathers were Freemasons, but the idea that Freemasons control the US government is ludicrous. Hell, all the Freemason/Illuminati/New World Order stuff that gets eaten up by people like you, Indica, is probably sleight-of-hand by the people who are really in control...or something.

Obama is a centrist.

Which is nice, if you like that sort of thing. I want to laugh at everyone (no, not really, but I smirk, at least) that called Obama a crazy liberal.

Anyway, let's not bother with conspiracy theories. Nothing you can do about them if they're true.

In American politics he is very liberal. Nationalized healthcare is a socialistic viewpoint, no way around that. Increasing the taxes the way he wants to do is also very much a liberal viewpoint. Calling him left-wing is hardly inaccurate. And when it comes to social issues he is very much a socialist.

Well, he was a liberal and he was a socialist to get the Progressive/Delusional (people that are convinced that they are progressives) vote. By the time November rolls around, I have no idea where he'll be.

I'm....not too sure about this Freemason thing, but I'm fairly confident of one thing: a change of president isn't going to change anywhere near as much as people want to believe it will.

Politicians are put in place so we'll feel like we have a voice. Obama, McCain, won't be a huge difference in the grand scheme of things. I just don't understand why everyone gets so uppity about it.

Let's face it, human greed isn't going to change anytime soon, thus neither will this country or any others.

Obama's campaign seems run to portray him as an extremely charismatic candidate offering promises of change to young, impressionable first time voters while only going into minuscule detail about what he intends to DO.

If you think about it (and I'm probably going to get a lot of shit for saying this...) thats a lot how many dictators first weaseled their way into power.

Not that I think he's the anti-Christ or anything. If he wins and actually changes things for the better, good for him (though like Typheros said, I don't think much will change anyway).

Still though, at the moment he appears all talk and theres just something about him I don't particularly trust...
