i have come to the conclusion that modship is actually a retro-virus, it causes its victim to decrease in posting until they stop posting all together

When I was a mod, as in, actually modding, I'd still be posting just as much bull as I was before. This, at the time, seemed to ruffle quite a few feathers to some members who thought they should be telling me how to run my self, or that a mod 'joking around' even in the trash board was some heinous crime to be executed over.

I'd actually wanted to 'retire' long before the forum change but I stuck around to offer some bits of forum theorycrafting, which in some ways I can still kind of do anyways, eh. So, technically I suppose I did disappear for a while when I 'retired', but for officially retiring, I've been posting more after dropping modship, which is completely different.

Which is probably what you're saying, but goes against what the thread was saying.
