View Full Version : Xbox 360 My Cancellation Problem

I promised myself that if there were no updates by the end of July then I would cancel my account, and even though August 1st is an alluring bit of bait, I think we all know what is going to happen.

But here is my situation, about a month ago my credit card that I was using to pay for this game (via Xbox Live) expired. I recieved an email telling me that they could not charge the card due to this expiration. I have not yet updated my new billing information with either Xbox Live or PSU, but miraculously I am still able to sign on every day to recieve my coin from the casino (this has been my typical PSU adventure for the past couple of weeks). So, here is my question, should I cancel my account, or wait and see if they ever shut me off from it? Because I don't see how they could be billing me.

Thanks.

Oh don't worry they'll shut you off soon enough. Xbox gives you a few attempts before they send off the balance to collections. Worst thing is a possible account suspension and collection fees for failing to cancel promptly or change cards over.

Wait. I was able to play PSO-X for months after they tried and failed charging an expired card.

You probably paid for the mouth of July, that's why you are still able to sign in.

Generally, they will let you play for up to 3 months after your payments stop before they shut you down. Thats how it went with me when my card went bad without me knowing. That way they can bill you for more. Ninja right? I know. That happened about a year ago though, so I don't know if its different now. I'm pretty sure its three months.
