Return of the Symbol Chat?

One of the things I miss( and don't miss, in some cases ) are the symbol chats from PSO. Once in a while however, I have seen some really creative symbol chats just using the keyboard text and symbols along with the color changing.

Up until MAG2 starts I'm going to fill some of the void by making a symbol chat for each of my characters. When I'm done I'll post them here.

Anyone have symbol chats or have screenies of clever ones that you've seen?

I wish I had the resources for a contest but alas...maybe someone does? lol hint hint wink*

Do you mean those emo bunnies, laser spraying frogs and stuff created by simply putting letters in a specific order?

Well, so he doesn't miss them in general, but he misses people using them more often like in PSO?
To each their own. I prefer having overestimated lame lines still making people laugh than those... things.

actualy he's talking about a feature from pso that let you arange shapes and symbols in a speech bubble, since I didn't go online I can't go into much depth but if you kidnap someone who did from the pso section of the site they should give you more info

I miss symbol chat too, that was definitely the shit, and was a unique character trait.

Symbol chat would defeat the purpose of their extensive filter. An example of that would be my favorite symbol chat I made in BB which would be "unacceptable" in PSU:

I have some shots which are much, much worse.
I didn't think it was possible to make something in symbol chat that looked very accurately like the backside of a woman with rather inappropriate things being done to it, and yet someone did.

It's awesome to see some of the old symbol chats again but I was also hoping that we could see more of the ones people have put together in PSU as a substitute like that bunny pic.

I'm sure there are plenty of funny symbol pics on the Japanese version they were really good with that on PSO GC too.

I am torn. every lobby had those two jerks spamming growls and 'yahoo's' and alarm sounds repeatedly. At least if we had them now you could just mute these users but still... seems like it will be abused. at least now we only have the exploding chat bubble and the thought chat bubble... imagine a lobby full of gigantic smileys and all those noises.... gah!

The only difference between macro spamming symbol chat and the facecatches is that the symbol chat wouldn't have that annoying graphical lag on some of the backgrounds.
