.... you know what occurs to me? It seems like a lot of people lurk the message boards (cough cough... not me tho ... cough cough), when what we really need here at PSO is a chat room.

So, this is my official request for a chat room. I think its only fair really, we've all come to expect a level of service equal to what we would have if we were playing PSO, which obviously means we need a chat room, duh... whatever heather.

does anyone else like this idea?

be sure to allow us firewalled people to use it too? ie no applets.
Yes they are faster and much better but some of us don't have control of the firewall.

WHOA, hey good idea, but do you know how many people would flood into a java script web chat room? theres one on EFNet on IRC, its 9:30am and there are a total of 80 people on this site, ouch talk about back fire, ill see you on IRC. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

right. Anything with a persistant connection will be disallowed by many firewalled people.
A generic html/asp one would work but they are far from...um good.
This really is a thread that belongs in site suggestions....
oh yeah this is a PHP site. well you know what I mean you web coders you.

It shouldnt be that hard to add. Even tho we dont promote screwing around at work (looks around for boss), I will chat with Gideon about it.

I was just stating theres way too many people visiting this board for something like that to work out, have you ever been on a "web page chat room"? its hard to even make out whos talking, not to mention with 500 people talking at once, but "Uhm" okay.

Not when you limit the room size to a resonable number and have multiple channels.

Isn't #pso on EFNet the official (semi-official?) PSO World chatroom? Tomeeboy and Gideon have ops, and lots of PSO World'ers hang out there.
