Next up from SEGA Japan - The New Expansion?

Correct me if I'm wrong here....

Japan recently got the last chapeter of Episode 3 (Around Dark 2008 / Ultimate Attack 6)

And now, we have another Thanks 'Recap' Festa.

In my view, we're now primed and ready to hear about the next Expansion.

Also, The people that actualy dev PSU (not sonic team, they direct it... I forget the name of the people that actualy do the work) have now finished work on PSP, right? It's perfect timing.

I'd like to see the next expansion exist of mostly PSO 'Episode 2' content. Makes sence to me.

Flicking through the pages of the PSU:AOTI Perfect Bible as I post... I can't see much that is not released in Japan. A room dec that is a sega logo... and that's about it.

I'll be even MORE astonished if we get Shred the Darkness first.

As far as another expansion goes though, methinks it needs MOAR CUSTOMIZATION. Primarily because it would PLEASE ME GREATLY.

Anyhow, It think there's still alot of untapped potential for the character/clothing/room designs, and hell, even weapons. :3

Me too. I think each master class will get an additional weapon.

MasterForce - No Idea... whips?

I'd like to see some of that concent that is in the PSP version too that we never got.

Fortegunner-- S Rank daggers (and 20 in Melee unless they already have it x3)

Wartecher-- Wartech is getting pretty solid... I'm not sure.. XD
Guntecher-- S RANK CARDS. 'NUFF SAID.
Fighgunner-- Figh is pretty solid.. :T
Protranser-- Lol.
Acrotecher-- 30 In Melee...
Acrofighter-- S rank Twin Daggers. :D
Masterforce-- Hmm. I think S rank Shadoog's would be nice to be honest, all that TP on a Shadoog would be fantastic.

Masterfighter-- I kinda think the Twin claws are a wiser Idea than Twin Sabers....


All-in-All I think the Next expansion should just bring PSP to PSU, and even NEWER stuff... PSU is just grinding-grinding-grinding, It needs more content. Sure, the little racing games are nice. But the Casino was a great idea, although it's limited. So we need things such as Mags/Pets beyond the PM, optional things that can wander about your room, looking cool depending on how their fed. Occasionally giving Items based on missions run? Rooms need to be enlarged as well, I think. Theres seriously, SO much you could do, I think it'd be great to have like, 5 room "rooms" that are full customizable.

Fortegunner already has 20 in skills.
Fortetecher gets 40 support when Masterforce comes out.
Wartecher could use 40 skills and/or attack techs, as NexGen said. Their stats are low enough for it to be fine.
Agreed on Guntechers. I've always wanted them to have S Cards.
Disagree with both Acro changes. I think the Acro classes are both just fine as it is. They're overpowered, if anything.
Masterforce actually has less TP than Fortetecher, IIRC. Maybe R-mags would be better on FT...
And Twin Claws on Fighmaster isn't too shabby an idea, simply because they're an under-used weapon type, although I don't know if it really fits with the theme of FM.

I think it'd be a good time to announce a new expansion - at least for Japan. I think if they wait too long, the game will only do worse because it's only a matter of time until big next-gen MMORPG games make a debut and make PSU look old, unless they do without PS2.

Its more like the beginning of the end really cant see why there would be another expansion, a sequel is far more likely than that.

Would they restrict the game to ps2 still?
I wouldnt think so, in order to give PSU the capable boost it needs, I think it would at least need to be on ps3.

They'd be absolutely stupid to release another expansion in Japan but not in the US and Europe. Let's understand that regardless of the quality of their support, PSU is a major source of income for Sega. Releasing an expansion invariably means they'll have more active subscriptions, even if only for a few months.

If they make an expansion/sequel, I'd like it to be more focused on Pioneer 2 and Ragol. I'd sure love to see Olga Flow revamped. But that's just me...

I want blood and gore to be added. When I rip a sword through a Vahra, I want to see it get sliced into two, not unlike the monsters from Sword of the Berserk.

it would be great to have hotkeys for items (like psobb had) and also be able to save custom armor/palette/PA settings to a hotkey. so for example, if i come across ice monsters, i hit a key and it instantly puts 4 fire techs on my pwand, changes my armor to ice element, plus equips freeze/resist. didnt final fantasy 11 do something like this?

Some new weapons and all of the weapons from Phantasy Star Portable.
New Clothing options (brand new and those from Phantasy Star Portable.)
More customization parts (hairstyles, faces, etc.)
*With Episode 3 being the end of the official storyline, I'd like to see one shot story style missions like those from PSO.
Minor changes to the classess.
Release ALL weapons and gear from the other PSU games (Dizas, Rentis, Meseta Fury, etc)
Allow us to get access to all partner cards (PSO people, alternate Ethan Card, etc)

Since any expansion would be the last one, I'd want all of that. And offline Multiplayer play would be nice. :D

if they want to keep this game alive they will need to make some big changes.
1: Add all the weapons from psp and maybe more

2: This is just an idea but make Monsters drop difrent things in diffrent areas like say a lv 100 Go Vahra would drop a [B]two-headed ragnus at raffon lakeshore and a lv 100 Go Vahra at Old Rozenom City drop something diffrent so it feels like your hunting and not just doing a run with a Go Vahra in it.

3: Give us more runs or a S3 rank...maybe a run that to do a C rank on it you have to be lv60 or something like that

4: More Clothing because im tired of seing everyone look the same

5: balance out all the runs...there are a lot of good runs that nobody gets to do because white beast givea better exp/mp

People still complain about palette spots? It takes all of 2 seconds to swap something, and most types (and missions) never have to swap for an entire run. MAG (and other event missions) is the exception that proves the rule.

- More cities to visit, we have three planets. The story line mentioned cities not yet released.
- Contest like race, skill shooting and more.
- Ability to ride certains vehicles including airboard
- More customization that includes more hair styles, more expressions and restoring voice mode (promised for AOTI but never fixed)
- Release not only on PS3 but also on system like OS X and Linux variant using crossplatform compilation. No more excuse to only port on Windows platform considering the fact gaming slowly move to crossplatform.
- Ditching bmp format in favor on png for screenshot
- Merging both japanese and oversea server (dreaming)
- Equal treatment of both japanese and oversea customers. No more double standard.
- Hire more programmers to fix glitchs.

from what i see here, most likely an expansion would be that we find pioneer 2! dun dun dun! we discover they are our ancestors and that we didn't invent newmans only re acquired them. we also learn that rakos is actually ragol and we must work to purify it back to the way it was.
enter olga flow falzes second body combined with the 3rd computer is controlling the planet's computer systems and it must be cleansed! DUN DUN DUN! then finaly we must travel to the eyeball on the planet to finish purifying it and restore the world back to the way it was thus we face the final boss of episode 3 which i never got to play DUN DUN DUN!!!!!!!!!!!
