As I sit here in my chair, the Olympic starting ceremony has just started on my television. (Even though it actually happened 12 or so hours ago)

Who else in FKL is going to watch this display of international peace and sportsmanship? What are your favorite summer events? I like to watch fencing and the racing events myself.

Also, what do you think about the Olympic buildings Beijing has built for the Games? I love the Water Cube where the swimming events will take place.

Hmmm, I might watch it, seems interesting. ^_^ *searches for it on tv* I would like to see the racing, of course.

Try looking for NBC, I'm pretty sure that's the one broadcasting the Olympics.

I'll probably put the kibosh on it because they've all steadily gotten worse after the first one.

I thought the printing blocks were even cooler. I must know how the guys all knew what to do at what times. There was no way they could see out of those.

Ranmaru
Aug 8, 2008, 07:58 PM
I thought they were going to walk over them. ^^; And then The bird. :3

Tact

I liked the planet. Walking around on that must be fun, and the easiest job in the entire opening ceremony.

Okay, maybe the little girl flying the kite had it easier.

Some people think the United States are cheating with their futuristic swimsuits.

Also, I forgot about table tennis. That's always fun to watch.

Yeah, those could use some work. In other news, Michael Phelps just got another Olympic record...

I figure I might as well show off the World of Warcraft Olympic stuff as well. They call it the "Spirits of Competition" event.

[spoiler-box]
I went into a battleground and fought for a bit, and I received this in the mail.

So, I went into some more battlegrounds to get a quest done. After four losses in a row (Yeah, the Alliance sucks in battlegrounds.), I finally won a battle and received this:

This gold medal summons a pet. I don't think it's a coincidence that it looks like a Chinese dragon.
