I think my PM is messed up

was making a pure striking but wound up getting some tech on it, is there a way i can reduce the tech but continue raising the striking?

If your PM already gained a level for the TECH category to add to the overall synth levels, then, sadly, no. I suggest zero'ing it in that case, if you really want / need a pure striking PM, that is.
However if you, you know, just filled the TECH bar too much and want to get rid of it, I suggest only feeding it striking weapons.
