W0LB0T travelled long and far. to visit Amptac's old master. but he had not seen Amptac in years. but the two reminisced about the old days, the spam they shared, the many late nights they spent spamming, playing games and making comics.

W0LB0T returned to his home, he had a plan. to draw out Amptac with the ungodly sounds that can only be made by one band...Dragonforce

Ranmaru

yes but Soren would be supporting Seth [paladin] and Ike [Lord] with Wind spells and such.

TalHex
Aug 10, 2008, 03:43 PM
seth was the thief though... not a paladin... which means he wouldn't be much use either... and besides its a well known fact that soren hates everybody's guts (he's such a cynical little bastard)

Ranmaru
Aug 10, 2008, 03:54 PM
Yeah he was a little brat to the Laguz. But I meant Seth from Sacred stones xD (I forgot the thief from Path of Radience was named Seth omg) Gheb was also from Sacred Stones. But my Lute would destroy him. :3

BUT WAIT THIEFS ARE AWESOME they can dodge dude.

Ah, I see. (I have only reached the chapter after Ike becoming a lord [after finishing the three areas in the forest])

Whisperers, eh? I might have to see for myself. ^_^

I guess. I haven't played D&D before. Fire Emblem is a strategy game, and if one character dies, they can't come back to life.

Oh, hey, that means it's not like Dungeons and Dragons. Resurrection is a perfectly viable option if your character dies in that game.

Also, I do know what Fire Emblem is.

Fire Emblem is a strategy RPG. It's made by the same people that made Advance Wars, so it's similar to that. Except, instead of making units, you get them and try to not let them die. They don't come back, with the exception of 4. You can revive everyone but the lord, and reviving more than once costs assloads of money.

It's fun, especially if you're aware of things. Like enemies that are in range to kick your ass.

Another comparable game-Final Fantasy Tactics/Advance.

I love those games...

Hmmm, I never remembered any of them coming back, please elaborate.

Anyways, basically, if any died, you would be very frustrated with that one character, and off to the reset button! Many times you will press the reset button, it will be your friend.

Also, you would think the AI would attack the nearest opponent, but NOOOOOO, they are set to kill the weakest that is closest. T_____T

Yes, it is fun to be aware of enemies much stronger than you.

I currently am playing Advance Wars 2 :>

Enemies usually aren't stronger, with the exception of bosses. And Hard Mode. Or if the character is terrible and is not worth using, or Nino. But that argument still holds water there...

As for reviving-there is the Valkyrie Staff. I think that's it's name. Whatever it is, Claude comes in it during Sigurd's part, and if he has a son, he inherits it and can use it. It can revive one of your units and breaks. It can be repaired for 50,000 Gold, which is the maximum any unit can carry at one time. Seeing as he's a healer he will be hard pressed for money because all of the other staves cost assloads ;-;

And the AI? It attacks whoever it can kill. If it can't kill, it's the unit that can't counter, then it's which one takes the most damage. After that, it's thieves and lords, though it likes to attack them over other enemies a lot.

Of course, in 9 and 10, Shade and Provoke change that.

Also-I don't know if it comes repaired or not for his son. I've never used it, and I don't think I ever allowed him to pair up with someone.

I loved Fire Emblem 4 because the people from the first half have babies that you use in the second half.

I never let units die, unless they're a recruitable enemy and I REALLY want experience and I wouldn't use that unit.

Ah, I see. I might try that sometime. Whoa, yeah thats assloads of money.

Meh, well, I was only venting for every time I put someone in front of the enemy (since I can't block them) so they can take the damage, but then instead attack Rhys and reset. :< Oh, now I understand why they attacked who they attacked. :disapprove:

My favorite was Sacred Stones because you could train the units in the tower. :3

You should just make a human wall between the enemy and Rhys, then.

thankfully i use quite a few laguz so traveling isn't a problem for half my army... its the opposing armies weapons... in desert stages they always have some kind of weapon along the lines of beast slayer or laguz killer...

I had all of my units huddle up and it took forever to get to the other side.
