Does anyone have any helpful hints on how to speed up the leveling proccess? My lvl 74 hucaseal is a bit too old to use the old vhard forest/dragon run trick to lvl up quickly. I have up to the vhard ruins unlocked. Any tips would be appreciated.

If I were you at lvl 74, I would beat VH Dark Falz and unlock ultimate in offline mode, then level there in forest up to the dragon http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif or just level off any area, monsters give approx 3x more than their VH counterparts do.

I agree, it shouldn't be hard to beat VH at level 74. I beat it at 70 without a problem, and ultimate gives you way better exp.

How about a level 71 almost 72 RAmar, is it safe for me to attempt to beat V.Hard Dark Falz? I've notcied the same slowing of leveling too.

If you trutly want to beat dark falz, equip 2 God/HP and 2 god/body. Or just 4 God/HP

Once you hop on Ult mode, do fake in yellow quest over and over until your happy. Or when the exp isn't good enough. I'm still looking for a good place to level up now... any know a good place for a level 107 RAcast(Offline)?

speed leveling? would level 88 to level 102 in 4 hours be speed leveling? i did it, but it only works for androids with proper gear.
my racast had unlocked ultimate mode but was too lowly to do anything but forest. upon entering forest in ulti he found a ???? Raygun. it turned out to be a kings raygun with 45 hit. i decided to try it out to see if it was useful. i just equipped it and it missed alot with its special, but when it did hit it stole a whopping 80 EXP!
with my current gear was hitting with it for 60 and 110 with it (30 with the special). i had power units equiped and a semi-power mag. this is when i launched a plan. if i can kill stuff in 30 special attacks i can steal 2400 exp per monster. but if i reduce my atp and increase my ata, i can get the exp flowing like crazy. so i piped back to pioneer 2 and swapped my gear. i took off the power units, and swapped out to a baby mag. then i equipped arm units to raise my ata.
when i returned to ragol, i was no longer doing 30 damage with the special attack. i was now doing between 4 and 14 damage. the longer the monster lasts, the more exp i can steal. as i leveled dex on the mag i became more acurate with the special.
getting 14 levels may not be a big deal, but getting them in the 80s, 90s, and 100s is. that was 700,000-840,000 exp in 4 hours depending on how it averages. it only took 2 forest runs to get it. i had to stop at 102 because he had put on substantial atp and was killing monsters much faster. the levels also become to far at that point to get them quickly.
this method only works with androids who have a bonus to stealing exp. i tried doing it with my ramar who is at level 69. i quickly found out that with the same kings raygun, he steals 31 exp from bartles instead of 80. he steals 16 exp from mothverts instead of 58. it is inefficient for me to do this with my ramar.
btw - in forest offline the magic number for ata seems to be 277. special attacks hit very consistently offline at that number.

Hmmmmm... I wonder if that would work for my HUcaseal? Anyways thanks for the advice! I just got into Ultimate. Funny. I keep forgetting that hucaseals are deadly with daggers and mechguns. Dark Falz went down like a sack of potatoes with my gatling! So far i've been doing forest runs with kireek tanking so i don't get hit.

hucaseals also get the exp steal bonus so keep your eye out for ???? Rayguns! if you find one with hit percents your in like flynn. you could get to 100 in 6 hours starting from 75 i bet.

How bout a ???? Vulcan or ???? Diska? I'll keep my eye out for stuff like that and test it with my lv 116 HUcast.

vulcans special attacks rarely work. multi-hit weapons spread the exp over the hits. i tried a kings vulcan with 20 hit and it seemed kinda useless. handguns and lasers are ideal because of high ata already supplied to them, and you can keep your distance. kings vulcans steal 20 exp per hit against bartles i think, but you may only get 2 hits per 9 hit combo unless you are using a dex mag and god arms. discas and vulcans also leave you vulnerable to getting hit more often than you steal. a kings saber would be good as long as it has 35-50 hit. the key is to reduce your atp so that you can get maximum theft. the longer a monster lasts the more you can steal. freeze traps in conjunction also help alot.

im a lvl 93 FOmar. i just do ult forest runs, and if im really up to it i might try ult ruins, but 2 ult forest runs each taking about 30 minutes gains me a level

You're a genius Maelkith! this really works! I used your strategy during the 1st guild mission with kireek... awesome! While he sits there and gets hit I quietly slurp xp. 80xp per pop! the levels are just flying. Thanks! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

you cant use ANY ??? weapon... you have to tekk it to be a KINGS (insert wepaon here) for it to steal the most EXP!

Just be patient and keep playing till you get to Ultimate. Once I got to ultimate I have starting leveling up a lot faster.

I have a question. I have an Android hunter lvl 60. I have a King's ripper but he doesn't steal this massive about of xp. What am I doing wrong? Is there a minumum level requirement for the boost?
Maelkith
01-31-2003, 04:20 AM
a ripper hits 6 times. so the exp is devided differently. i would have to obtain a kings ripper to test it. i am a redria, and rippers are very uncommon. i have no idea if there is a level limitation. the strategy works best with 3 hit weapons because the exp isnt devided amongst the hits. try to find a kings raygun or gladius for best results.
also, trying this in vhard doesnt work as well. with a three hit kings weapon you will steal around 30 percent of a monsters exp per hit in ultimate. using a kings ripper in vhard may or may not steal around 15 percent per hit for an android, so a dimenian that gives under 150 exp could only yield paltry exp (9 or so). i will try vhard to confirm.
i dont have all the variables figured out yet, but i will do a little research as i aquire the weapons. as far as a hidden level limitation, i will see what happens as my other character levels up.

Fastest way to level up and actually make some progress offline is this
Just do offline mode until you've unlocked ultimate, if you can't handle the ruins in hard or very hard for some reason start diong the mines on that diffuculty over and over or forest over and over to gain levels. once you can handle ultimate forest, do ALL quests until you have unlocked Soul fo the Blacksmith, then just load up that quest and keep doing the forest section over and over until you've gotten a high enough level.

I found the best way to level up at high levels is....Don't look at your exp and fight where your getting the most exp.Seeing that big number just gets discouraging. While this may not be helpful I just couldnt help posting it.

I'm trying to get a lvl 60 redria Hunter droid to lvl 80 so i can start a multi-offline game with the redria ID but it's taking forever (All for a god/battle mind you). The level requirement for Ult. better be 80 in offline multi, can anyone confirm this?

The offline requirement for Ult is 80...but I think you may be able to just get your character to the Ruins to be able to go to ULT in Multi...it's worked like that for my other characters o.o Maybe I just got to the level I needed to move on, after beating Vol Opts o.o Huh...now I'm confused... Thanks Maelkith for the help, i'll also try to research it further once i get ahold of a different king's weapon.

Actually I beg to differ...
I have a set of kings vulcans and when I play offline I get 26exp per hit and hit 7 our of the 9 times on average. My trick is simply to go to the forest and on the forest of sorrow quest where you fight tons of hidelts. Then I lure them to a specific spot where they turn around and get good and stuck. I shoot them in the back and do so little damage that I can usually steal about 4500 before i have to either pipe back to town quickly or grab another. Still I wish I had a kings ray gun so I could at least try the difference. But whatever the case its still cool cause it works well!

I also use the Soul of a Blacksmith method (play the quest through the dragon on a battle path, rinse and repeat). With my level 142 FO I can get 215k experience in one hour (five runs). This is the fastest method I know of, much faster than going through mines, which I can do in half an hour for around 75k exp. Anyone know a better method?

that kings raygun trick also works very well in ult ruins in that last room before falz (with that big thingy in the middle you can get monsters stuck on) or in those many rooms with the big holes in the floor dividing them in half.
Just pull a arlan/merlan/del-d until it's stuck, equip a solid dex mag (mine was like 10/0/165/0) with some elf or god/arms and plink away.
I did this offline multi with my FOnewearl(142) and HUcaseal(81 at the time) with the FO clearing the path and the HU trailing behind until a pit room, at which point she was doing 0 damage to the stuck monsters and absorbing tons of exp. Only did it for a few minutes but i did get all the way to level 92.
Now she is doing Forest of Sorrow repeatedly until i get my god/battle. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

i use the same technique with a kings railgun in ult. i load a 4 slot armor with arms, de-equip my mag to lower my power and just plug away as the enemies get themselves stuck. works like a charm.

I managed to get my Ramar into Ultimate by level 46.
While in Ult Forest, I would use Bringer's Rifle and Frozen Shooter to ease my way through the level.
I gained about 10-12 levels in about an hour.

If you're a Force, Ramarl or Hunewearl, you can always do the canabin trick in Mines. Boring as hell, but tons of xp. I tried it with my Hunny and got around 320k exp in less than an hour.
I repeat: Boring as hell, but tons of xp.

Verrrrryyy....boring...can't do this for more than a few minutes I get bored... though as soon as my dad gets home my portable DVD player will be back so I should be able to do it for a lot longer...

For anyone still interested in the whole Bartle trap/king's gun technique in the forest, here's a quick list and the map of f1. arrows are easy places to get them stuck so you can just wail away.
most involve getting the Bartle to follow you along a wall while you yourself run "into" the wall as you go along it. typically when the corner comes up, you'll bank around it and the Bartle will turn to follow and get "stuck" on the stage. your radar is a good way estimate how close they are to the wall, since you typically can't see them chasing you. after they're "stuck" it's important not to run back out to shoot them, if you break their vertical middle on the open side, they'll usually change walking direction and unstick themselves. creep out until you can hit and stay there.
sorry in advance for the low quality pics.
http://www.dropslash.com/misc/images/pso/exp_forest1.jpg
1. get one to follow you and hug that left hand wall, as you turn the corner they'll get stuck, creep back until you can hit and blast away. also, if positioned correctly, the Bartle's will walk right into this trap.
http://www.dropslash.com/misc/images/pso/exp_1.jpg
2. this one is pretty easy, especially with the Barble and Bartle that appear on the map variation i used, up by the top door. just hug the left hand wall and lead them down.
http://www.dropslash.com/misc/images/pso/exp_2.jpg
3. this one's a pain, but it can be done, the easiet way is to get hug the left hand side and get the Bartle to follow you to the door. run through the door and the Bartle will spin and begin to walk away. creep back through the door and the Bartle will circle to the left, trapping it.
http://www.dropslash.com/misc/images/pso/exp_3.jpg
4. this one may take a few trys too, and only works in the forest variations where B's actually appear in this part of the map. just lead them up the left hand side towards the enterance. (note: in the pic below, the winner is actually trapped walking away from me)
http://www.dropslash.com/misc/images/pso/exp_4.jpg
5. this one's a pain, since there's usually more than one B in here at a time. though one trapped can trap another behind it, giving you some space to shoot. hug the wall and let them trail you down the right hand side.
http://www.dropslash.com/misc/images/pso/exp_5.jpg
6. this one is not easy, but can be done with patience. you have to hug the right hand side tight and keep moving to the right after you bank around to the door. the Bartle behind you will try to bank, but get stuck. creep out and blast away.
http://www.dropslash.com/misc/images/pso/exp_6.jpg
7. this one's easy. just lead them along the right, they have a habit of sticking themselves here.
http://www.dropslash.com/misc/images/pso/exp_7.jpg
i'm sure there's plenty more, these just happen to work on this map variation, which i tend to get a lot. i'm working on forest 2 and cave 1 as well. happy hunting.
