"Marching and heiling, heiling and marching. In him is planted no seed of laughter, hope, tolerance or mercy. For him - only heiling and marching, marching and heiling. The grim years of regimentation have done their work. Now he's a good Nazi. He sees no more than the party wants him to. He says nothing but what the party wants him to say. And he does nothing than what the party wants him to do. And so he marches, with millions of comrades, trampling on the rights of others. For now, his education is complete. His education... for death."

Horrifying Disney Properganda at its finest.

Okay, I'm watching it, but...holy cow, Disney made this? :disapprove:

Well, though...I guess everyone has to get in on the wartime propaganda.

Edit: Haha, wow, even the trees did the salute in the Sleeping Beauty thing.

I believe DR. Seus was doing political cartoons at that time as well.

Yes, I believe he was doing that kind of thing as well. One of the ones I remember seeing was a Sneetch-like thing sitting comfortably in an armchair while bullets and missiles flew around him. I'll have to see if I can find it.

I recall Suess also made a book based on the Cold War.

I wonder if Jim Henson ever did anything like this.

I've never heard of this, but I did find the picture I was talking about. As usual, I will be putting it into a spoiler box.

Its called the Butter Battle Book or something like that...

Basically, two communities don't agree on whether to butter the top or bottom of their toast, and go through a ludicrous arms race culminating in pea-sized super bombs.

Hmm. If only we could build pea-sized guns and weapons.

They would be a bitch to fire, though.

As for the Cold War book-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Butter_Battle_Book. We had it read to us in our English class last year when we were starting our satire section. I totally analyzed the shit out of that book too.

And Dr. Seuss isn't completely clean, either.

Class discussion on the end of the US neutrality during World War II. It became a discussion on how evil and racist he was because of it.

As for my opinions on propaganda-I see it as swaying opinions. Politicians do it, the local news does it, and I've done it.

You know what? Even you've done it.
