The Curse of Oyashiro-sama : Once a year during a festival in villiage where they live one person dies and another goes missing. Events of the series are based around that; and they repeat over and over again (well not exactly repeat... everything starts anew and ends up being a massacre anyway albeit in different way.) Or something like that. I'm still watching it.

yeah bad news is, the Higurashi no noko koro ni episodes on Veoh are almost gone(and most are italian subs), due to the series being licensed and dubbed i guess.
