I believe FKL's very own Sayara made the first version of this thread. The point of it was to record, upload, and show us videos of yourself playing some games. Well, some time has passed and you've all had time to make some more videos of games you have. Maybe you even have some new games to show us.

Or I could wait til the WAR beta re-opens on the 7th and take footage of that I dont know.

It's freeware. Nothing illegal to it, so here's a link for anybody who is interested. They even covered their butts with a bunch of NOT OWNED OR ENDORSED BY sort of things in the mods.

Also, if the pack comes as .cdi, use ISObuster (http://www.isobuster.com/) (free, but they beg you for money) to rip the PAK file out of the ISO (it's meant for be burnt for use on the DC). Rename the file and add .PAK to the end of it. Nothing to it. :wacko:

Them Satilites are such an annoying target. you have to lead them so much. and it takes a few hours before you even know you hit em.

I find CamStudio to be an excellent program for recording videos on your desktop. Its totally free and open source.

It can't record audio coming from the speakers when you're using Vista, though. At least it won't work for mine...

It will record microphone sounds, though, if you want it to.

If you're wondering what recording software I'm using, its the full version of Fraps that i "borrowed" (finger quotes). You just gotta be carefull with this program because it records video in AVI format, which are bloody huge. this video alone is 2.28Gb. Not to worry for me becasue i still have 619Gb left to burn.

I then reduce the file size by saving it as a WMV using Windows movie maker, which took this video down to a measly 16.8Mb. then photobucket reduces it down even further to a total 13.5Mb.

Do be also mindfull that when Fraps is recording video, there is a massive system hit. its not noticable on my computer, but anyone who aint using a powerhouse like mine better prepared.

Joke video for a forum thread: Rolling 4d20 for my current D&D 3.5 character's full attack action, assuming I'm attacking something with 20 AC.

Bard 4/Swashbuckler 4, Two-Weapon Fighting and Improved Two-Weapon Fighting feats, BAB 7/2, 18 DEX, masterwork rapier, normal shortsword. Normal attack bonus with rapier is 12/7, normal with shortsword is 11/6.

Damage, didn't bother filming that:

Rapier first hit - 1d6+4 = 6
Shortsword first hit - Miss

Just make sure you do a spin dash for extra speed before the missile counts down. I lost a good 20 lives trying to practice that one part, wondering why I couldn't beat it... then I remembered that you practically have to spin dash at the beginning.

That Chinwokka (helicopter) aint that loud. the mic in the camera fucks with sound levels. things in front are heaps loud where as behid they quiet. becasue the BANG! is bloody loud, but you hardly hear it.

In the last picture, not only could I not even move due to hundreds of storage cubes on my head, my frame rate was non-existent. I was trying to fill the whole level, but I guess the game wasn't prepared for that.

I was also tempted to turn them into companion cubes, but that would be cliche + take a lot more effort. (To the extent of my knowledge you can only convert them one at a time.)

I'm suddenly reminded of Immaterial and Missing Power. Have you ever played it, MasterSpark? I've been interested in finding netplay opponents.


I'm afraid that I haven't tried IaMP. I've only tried the second of the fighter games, SWR, but they are supposedly quite different in their gameplay mechanics.

This is currently my favourite game of the series and since I have finally unlocked the secret of getting Fraps to record at a steady 60 fps, this replay will be shown in Full Speed as opposed to my earlier recorded replays. :)
