I would like to share few ways to become popular here.
Unfortunately, the dA system has changed due to unfair practices in the past. It is definitely more difficult to become popular. I know a lot of people want their art to be seen. I hope my tips help.
1. About comments, watches, and favs Try to reply as much as possible. When someone watches or favs, go to their page and thank them. If you like anything in their gallery, fav it.
2. Category Observe the deviation categories displayed in the popular section. For example, the easiest category is fanart. If you can draw popular anime characters, like Naruto or Bleach, keep doing it. Other options are Cartoons & Comics > Digital Media > Comics > Strips Traditional Media,Animal,Tattoo Design,deviantART Related,wallpaper or Flash etc. Be on a look out. If you can get more than 600 favs, your deviation will have a higher chance of being displayed on the front page.
3. Become friends with a popular deviant Do collabs, do art trades, give gifts, or commission them. It’s more effective to have your name displayed on a popular deviant’s page rather than getting an adcast. Also, leave “devious comments” on people’s pages.
Lastly, this will only be temporary if your art doesn’t not appeal to the community. Therefore, you must work hard to improve your art. Be grateful to those who looked at your art. Good luck.
