Sega officially announced a U.S. release of PSP at TGS!

Only problem is AFAIK they didn't give a release date.

edit: sorry, this is their line up for TGS 2008 which won't be until the middle of October.

The list has Phantasy Star Portable under the PSP section. Why would they present the Japanese version at TGS 2008 when it has already been released in Japan? The only logical conclusion would be that it is for another region.

Maybe to possibly show off the commercial success Phantasy Star Portable has been having.
Still, I'll take a wait an see approach. Thanks for bringing the news since I've been kind of out of the loop for TGS stuff.

I would say promotion. PSP's got download content and I assume they'd get more out about that. Just because a game is in the lineup doesn't mean they're going to announce it for US/EU. It doesn't mean they won't though. I'd love it they would. The more people that can play PSP the better.

let's just concentrate on the patch cuz just our luck this will never get a U.S release just like a long list of great PSP games

not to be scepticle I wood love to see a US release but isn't this a line up of there 2008 released games?

Just to let you guys know, one of the GM's on PSU said to keep a lookout on TGS for a US release announcement. I know it sounds weird, but that's what he said.
