Yes, you can use more than one card online, although you can't transfer the file itself.

When you start on a new card, it'll ask you all the same questions it asked you with the old card. All you have to do is put in the information and password on that card, and it'll work fine.

And if you keep one of the cards with the ISP info in slot B, you don't need to set that up for the new cards, either.

I use three cards.

The bad news is that you can't copy/transfer the guild card file. So if you want someone's guild card on all of your memory cards you'll have to have them send it to each one. At least all the characters on the same memory card share the same guild card file.

hm... lets say you have 2 memcards (slot A and slot B) and just one has the system-info and guildcardfile on it - does the game also take the only existing guildcardfile for all charas (from both memcards) like it was with the dreamcast or do you really have to have 1 guildcardfile per memcard?

thanks in advance

Unforunately, PSO E1&2 on the GC works abit different than it did on the DC. For one, everytime you start up the game or change memory cards the game automatically detects the existence of the character and guild card files. If it doesn't find a file it's looking for, it will create it on the spot. You cannot play without a guild card file in slot A, so there's no way to load a guild card file from slot B. You're forced to use different guild card files for every memory card. I really hate that. This is one issue I think a cheat device can fix, as I'm sure someone will find a code that will unlock the guild card file and allow it to be copied/transferred. Not that I'm going to buy a cheat device just to do that, that'd be a waste of money. I'll struggle with having everyone I know send me their guild card on each memory card.

aww, how idiotic... i am so happy with the dreamcastversion where you can have as much charas as vmu/memcards and still have the same set of guildcardfiles... -_-;
well... have to live with that tho...

anyway, thanks for the reply, vulpes ^_^

this leads to a sidequestion...

hm... so the game looks for a guildcardfile at the memcard it gets the chara from? or from the memcard in slot A?

sorry and thanks again for your patience (_ _)

Slot A. You can't even load characters from slot B except in offline multi-player mode to transfer them as temporary characters (up to three) on the card in slot A. There always has to be a card in slot A with character and guild card files in order to play, even offline.
