you know a quick look at the partner card list tells you what your friends alts are, or a trip to their room.

i dont get how its hard to remember all of your friends alts...... i mean come on NO BODY has more than a solid crowd of say 30-40 people, more like 10-15 that you would choose to run with

If you play on the PC, you can check your Maillog to see what they wrote, should be in My Documents/SEGA/PHANTASY STAR UNIVERSE Illuminus/LOG file. Should be something like this: MailLog_2008XXYY, where XX is the two-digit month, and YY is the two-digit day. You'll have to adjust it to JP time(which should be EST+13), for some reason the game saves it at that time.

... I only have 3 pages of Partner Cards, and in my opinion, it takes too long to check who's actually mailing you when they're on an alt. I'm not going to check every single card that's online to see who is mailing me with when I'm probably in the middle of a mission myself D:
If you KNOW that the person you're mailing doesn't know your alt at all, freakin tell them >_> "sup! This is Special K, etc etc etc...." <_<

I had fun doing this on the PC. Making a bunch of random characters, getting a bunch of random responses.

That doesn't happen too much to me, but it has before. The mail system on PSU in general is a double edged sword. It's nice to have for communication purposes, but it can become a nuisance. And some people get all offended if you put off replying to them or forget to. It would be nice to have an auto-reply service or at least something to make you appear offline.

That's happened to me a couple times but I just checked my card list to see who it was. If I'm using an alt and I think someone might not know who I am, I add "-stukasa" to the end of my message. Simple, huh? :p
