lowest level to complete ultimate?

ive played pso for over 1000 hours but i had never tried to beat it as fast as possible at the lowest level. i managed to do it with a humar at lv.55... granted i exploted pretty much every glitch in the game. what about everyone else?

Didn't Tycho defeat ultimate dark falz at lvl 1? i beleive he used mats and a good mind mag to equip a psycowand, that weapon enabled him to die each time an enemy was killed so he wouldn't get exp. I remember sawing pics of that, he also leveled up to lvl 20+ after defeating falz.

it all really depends on how you use your character class. You would have to really configure your mag stats and so forth to take down ultimate at a low level.
pure strategy is what makes low levels beat ultimate.

Its been so long. I don't remember what level I beat ultimate on when I got there. one who truly beats ultimate is one who completes both stories. not just the first one.

the second story with Olga can rip you to shreds if you are not at a certian level, strategy or not, on ultimate.

Anyway, Ketchup, Tycho got to level 1 on Ultimate and beat Falz.

In case everyone is wondering how he did it:

FOnewm maxed on mind materials.
Uber high mind MAG.
He used a Psycho Wand.

When using a Psycho wand, it is possible to kill yourself while casting techs. He reset...a lot.

Personally, I believe the lowest I got into Ultimate was high 30s, it's really not that hard.

Personally, I believe the lowest I got into Ultimate was high 30s, it's really not that hard. I'm pretty sure (like 98%) he wasn't a hacker. But there were some things he did on some of his tutorial videos that made it seem like sometimes he was to me. hacking a good way not a bad way. -_-
I'm not against him by saying that. I actually think he is the coolest guy I've ever seen play PSO. :D

I modded the Scape Dolls to save time (from having to go back and forth to Pioneer for every monster), and HP Mats because I needed to keep a clean bank (for Scapes) until the end of Ult. Ruins 3. Not that I had enough spare HP mats originally, but Mind was pretty easy to get the normal way.

thanks for clearing this up for me. this puts a even greater understanding to the lengths he put on his videos to show people how to play and have fun suprisingly (unlike others) with out hacks.

I caught and watched his vids after I knew everything though. but still entertaining. ^^

I might just want to try seeing how far I get on the low level completion task myself.
I can definatly pull it off. I honestly have pushed myself over the limit with my main character since I got the game with out an ambitious goal of some kind.
I think I could pull this little task off as well with ease. ^^

Tycho was one of my best friends on PSO. His accomplishments, while recognized by this very site, which is truly an incredible feat itself (see guides by Tycho), were still underappreciated, I felt. Tycho was always a genius amongst the group of people I played with, and he never went overboard with it. He downplayed himself a ton, which was sometimes upsetting to me, personally. That may seem slightly strange upon reading, but when you see and visit with somebody almost daily for a year or two, possibly longer, they become a close friend. Finishing episode 1 with a level 1 character the whole way was fantastic in itself, and I don't know any other player who would have pulled that off other than Tycho here.

I was surprised though when Falz on ultimate only jumped him up to level 25.

As for clearing up my own name in this thread, I'm posed with something of a difficult task. If you're like some older players, and set against me already, it's highly unlikely you're going to take my words at face value. I don't know how to hack. I don't know how to item mod. I don't know how to set up a proxy, let alone how to even use a proxy. I did learn how to duplicate items early on, but by the time I was making my videos, it was something I wasn't really doing. Indeed, I bought PSO plust shortly after it was originally released, and couldn't duplicate items at all after that. The 1.0 copy of PSO GC I bought a few days before the official release of PSO GC has not been in my posession for probably four years now, which means it's been that long since I've been able to duplicate items or any of the crap that version 1.0 allowed. So no multi-equip, no max stats, nothing. I used weapons that were traded to me, to be sure, but trading was not the great injustice that it would eventually become back then.

While I do have an Action Replay, I bought it in order to get The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Brothers on Animal Crossing. Since I use PSO Plus, I'm stuck with the few useless codes that this grants. While I don't expect anyone at PSOworld to research what that allows, I'll simply state that by the time PSO plus came out, nobody really gave a crap about making new codes, or translating codes, or whatever. I don't know how to make them, nor translate them to different versions. Probably the only good code that is for PSO plus that I'm aware of is the ability to feed a mag nonstop, and that's only useful if you were involved in a particularly traumatic game in which you died a whole bunch, and you don't want to wait around forever feeding your mag three times per 3 minute and 22 second inteverals.

The characters that I did shoot up to level 200 in one kill before I got PSO plus were done for the movies alone. That's all they were there for. I already had scripts written out for some of the films, and parts that were already cast had vanished off the servers for good. Needing a decently leveled replacement, that's what they were made for. Afterwards, they were either created over with storage characters, or simply became storage characters. Indeed, the only character I use to this day is the one I've used since my third corruption back in 2003, and it's the same character everyone knows me as.

If playing on private servers that I had no part in creating makes me a hacker, then I guess you've got me. But you would be pointing me out in a strange way since Sonic Team provided the spot where you type numbers in that allows you to connect to something other than the Sega servers, which would mean playing elsewhere is not a hacking method at all.

So with that out of the way, I'd like to write that it would be nice to see TheOneHero and Tycho online again, but I might have to wait until PS0 for the DS for that. I don't even know if either of you would be getting that game, or have a DS for it. I'll be on there at the start though, just like I was for the downer that PSU turned out to be.

Well what's left for them to do here, besides talking to the community? The PSO forums get a new poster maybe once a month, and they usually just ask a few questions and leave. PSU? Well, PSU for me and many others, is dead. That leaves FKL, Rants, and off-topic. Some people might not want to stick around for just that. But hey, maybe others like Adam will return for a while for this new PSzero game. You'll just have to wait and see. Personally I don't know if I'll like it or not, but I have hopes that it turns out to be as huge as PSO was, because I've check the pso forum archives, and I can sort of see why you miss people from 4-8 years back.

This is true. just a miss-understanding. I was just interested in certian methods you brought up in your videos I saw a long time ago to the point where it left me in confusion leading to odd questions and guesses that (obviously have still been lingering.)

Oh, I think you're of the mind that version 1.0 was for the dreamcast. I mean it as PSO GC version 1.0. As far as I know, there were three versions of episode 1 and 2 for the Gamecube. I bought the original version, 1.0. on October 27th, 2002. The true release date was supposed to be a few days after that. About a year and a half later, I upgraded to PSO plus.

I have no grudges against you , because you never played with me. You don't know me. All you see is some junked up videos I made a long while back. It's fine to question legitimacy. God knows, over the yars, this website has been loaded with users doing just that towards uh... everyone. I was here mostly to stick up for Tycho.
