I m sure there are some community working issue, but well, as for server merge, it is kidda out of GM power to do.
I m sure they would do it if they can. now is it the talk between JP team and microsoft for that part. (which is might have so many problem issue)
I really doubt they would try to merge if they have to pay microsoft money for it. Since people here like to inactive their account, and only 1-2 star left playing, It might consider not worth their invest anymore.
server merge is kidda good thing to balance the game, PS2/PC server want grinder S+10 from xbox, while xbox might want our meseta.

pro tip: It won't be anything drastic. They'll probably do another "Mission Spotlight" or something like it. I'd say free PSU and a server merge are both pretty far out of the question...

Oh like how during 1up we had Dallgun as an NPC for missions yet he had already met his untimely death lol. Because JP had their 1up before he died in the storyline.

Server merger is jumping the gun don't you think? The best they can do is some mission spotlights or some leftover real world loot.

not from Sega comes Quick......

and time travling into the Future 6 months ....with the Correctly done event.... would not be that hard....

also Content wise... it's not that much

A Story Mission...maybe 2

Parnum GBR.... which after 2 weeks most are sick of

and 4 events.... that most would aggre that if the kill count was low enough.. 3 weeks would be plenty


also...add to they could tricklre out content to the JP servers....it would not be hard to fast foward then merge.....odds are the Servers move had some of this in mind..

I wonder how far off the possibility of a PC demo would be? Or better yet, something Japan just got last week: the ability to download the ver.1 PC client for free (they only have to pay for a game key and GUARDIANS License). I'm sure something like that would do wonders for the population. Or at least give it a little boost.

yeah that could be a possibality or he could be refering to what has been done via PSP and unlocking codes.....



but when it comes to sega I tent to think what would be the least amount of work in the long run

lol, the things isn't as easy as what you think buzyb77.
they have to make this official and they have to announce things and explain so many detail of what happening to every players via Email, and they have to do so many paper stuff, also explain to those in JP server too, and ask if they are fine with this or not. and etc etc etc.
Be aware that not everybody are on PSOW and keep checking update from JP server.
There are also people who hate to be with JP players and called JP language as moon language, while in their side, some also hate to be with foreign too.
They have to consider everything clearly, and consider how would people complain afterward and how would people look at them by doing this kind of thing.
They also need to announce this for decent long time ahead before doing so too, they have to let all the people prepare their mind.
They also need to issue that we will not be able to get event limited item anymore for those that we skipped, or they have to give you so many quick of big event instead (if they could do that quick event update, they wouldn't delay our updated like this, so I say they couldn't do such a rush job.)

Also, the biggest problem is the translate all of those story mission and stuff. and how would the JP menu and ENG menu work together when we are trading item, or they gonna do it locked server for trading?

it would be interesting if they made a AoTI demo and allowed them into the PC/PS2 servers with limitations (level cap and weapons available to them) so they can interact with current residents.

Come on. Hasn't PSO's online history taught you anything? They don't care about us. They never have, and probably never will. Naturally there's a much smaller PS fanbase in the states and Europe so they naturally provide minimal service to us and just let the money trickle in.

Just to quote what I posted last time, because I come to think of it again,
although those support are very small individually, and seem not be ale to help anything much, but if many of those happen together(free period, download free v.1, advertising video, community event) It would be a powerful tool to help the game situation.
