Right now my primary hypothesis is that TOH is using the sign to taunt people.

I'm not really putting much thought into treasure, though. It mostly tends to be objects of material value. My lab/library/entertainment complex already has all the stuff I need to synthesize gold, jewels, whatever.

Unless of course that treasure isn't just money. In which case I may have to bother with tracking it down.
