Maybe, maybe not can´t really say, but how long do you think the server will last with only one? :P
But you pretty much have to solo anyway now, people are only like at the hotspots.

I'd leave, sell everything I own to a hobo for a nickle, and then use that nickle in a slot machine at the local laundrymats. Aftwards, I would destroy all of Asia, therefore setting off a chain of events that would wipe Bruce Lee from the history books, cause america to start making their own shit (Including an execese of warheads), and allow me to take complete control of the planet. Afterwards, I will grow bored, set off every nuke in the world, killing everyone except one female of my choosing. I will then start to procreate the human race again, and make a world of super-humans known as "The Feet". We will recreate all the advancments mankind had made in a matter of days, and by the end of the week, turn our planet into a giant spaceship capable of crushing every civilisation in the universe.

I play offline, so I may as well be. The online world doesn't matter to me, and I've never spoken to another living soul about this game in person. My friends probably don't even know it exists.

If I was the only one left? o.o

[logs on to PSU, being the only one left]
[walks for a few minutes]
[Disconnected by request from server]
[attempts to log on again]
[Server Location not found, Server has been shut down due to lack of profitable income]

o.o then, I'd be on some other game, eventually PSZ.

I see new people playing all the time, in fact I recently came back to PSU and many of the "new" people I've met while playing are returning players.

But I'm sure that people would be playing this game even if it was offline only as long as they can still find that rare item now and then.

I only solo now so no one actually playing besides me would be no big deal. If they closed the servers I'd just go back to playing whatever offline games as PSO/PSU have been the only online games I've ever really played.

PSU: I AM LEGEND

No, I would drop the game as soon as no one I liked played regularly. :3

Well for PSO GC I was the last one, and back then I just kept playing till the servers went down. Although I don't think PSU could hook me that much that I'd play till it ended.I f I was the last one, I'd probably say, "Fuck this!", and go back to PSO GC and BB. Helluva good time there.

I still play though I miss walking around uni2 just to see people running around the lobbies. PSU is my first online RPG so why would I want to quit when I probably regret it later. I'm too attached to my characters at the moment.

I wish topics like these would disappear.....

hm.... well i use psu to get away from wow... so... i think since thats a while away id switch to champions online :O and then back to wow then back off it again and then soul calibur 5: A Tale of Swords and Souls Eternaly Retold: Evil Soul Calibur Awakens Expansion Pack... which probably would have no story so... then id be on a free trial for City of Heroes again... but that'll probably last one night, so i geuss id see what all the fuss about this Halo expansion is for... but well that will be full of kids cumming over master chief... so then i guess ill wait for the Fable mmo to come out... but ill be bored for a little while...

if i was the only one left, Kitty would no longer be fun, and this game would grow boring.

sure i only solo but there is no one to sell the stuff i find to >.>

i'd probably stop playing, get a job, work out eat healthy, get sleep and a girlfriend.

but until that happens none of these "good" things will! :D lol

i'll move on with my life and do something
else. i'm thinking of buying an awesome
desktop (around $2k) soon and play Diablo 3 or other high
demanding graphic games. Because of that, i'm
working over-time everyday (no weekend working
unless my company needs me during the weekend)
to save up some cash to buy it. > : )

The way the PC/PS2 servers are, most of the fun im having is by myself anyway.

But with the universal "look at my neat rare near 10/10 gear" factor eliminated, there is absolutely no purpose to playing the network mode anymore.

Most likely quit and never buy another Sega game again, until the next PS online series is released and made by a completely new team that does not suck.

Witness Mr. Jlys, a charter member in the fraternity of dreamers. A bookish little CAST whose passion is Phantasy Star Universe but who is conspired against by Sega and Sonic Team and a world full of tongue-clucking newbs and the unrelenting ire of PSU elitists. But in just a moment Mr. Jlys will enter a server without Sega or Sonic Team or newbs or anything else. He'll have a server all to himself, without anyone.

“Level 140 CAST Fortegunner LFG! Hello? Is anyone there? Somebody say something! Somebody? Anybody? HELLO?”

Seconds, minutes, hours, they crawl by on hands and knees for Mr. Jlys, who looks for a single star in the ashes of a dead server. A chat window connected to nothingness. Casino Voloyal, a party mission, a partner card, a player shop, the [simple] mailbox and bulletin board at what was once his room and is now rubble. They lie at his feet as battered monuments to what was but is no more. Mr. Jlys, on an eight-hour tour of a graveyard.

“They’re gone. Heh... They’re all gone! Ha-ha! They’re all really gone! AH-HA-HA-HA! Finally, I have time to perfect my Crea Doubles collection! I can finally do any mission I want! I’m no longer stuck playing White Beast! Yes... YES! Finally! I have time! Now I can--"
*Jlys’ Xbox 360 makes a loud click, his speakers cut off with an audible pop, and his HDTV’s display goes blank. Jlys can only look on with horror as 3 red lights appear on the Xbox 360’s ring of light.*
“That's–that's not fair. That's not fair at all. There was time now. There was, was all the time I needed! It's not fair!”

The best laid plans of Sonic Team and Sega and Jlys, the small CAST with an Xbox 360 who wanted nothing but time. Jlys, now just a part of a smashed server, just a piece of the rubble, just a fragment of what Sega has deeded to itself. Mr. Jlys in the Twilight Zone. I already have World of Warcraft. Technically, if there was nobody left online but myself, I wouldn't have much reason to play online. I mean, all my work and even the light RP stuff I do loses meaning without any kind of audience from time to time.

Besides, Phantasy Star Portable would basically be all you need if PSU loses its community. Let's not forget PS0, if it turns out to be half of what people think it's going to be. Thing is, there's already an immortalized version of a continuing Phantasy Star Online/Universe type game if the worst was to happen. Thing is, while PSU has some atmosphere....it's the players that have the power to complete it. Nothing out there, at the moment, really replaces Phantasy Star. Whether you're a bunch of people with different classes, fighting monsters; or in a world of High Fantasy. If you're hankerin' for the style of Phantasy Star, you're going to want a Phantasy Star game.

I would sell everything I own to the NPC's and try to find it all again by myself and if this takes too long I will roll over on the floor and die :D (wait D:

Edit: On second thought I'd "Cast Away" this game and hold out until they come to rescue me, after I sell everything and THEN if it took too long I'd promptly roll over and lol/die.

Edit Edit: Even BETTER I'll spam the 4th floor, go everywhere in every universe, kill every monster ever, and follow it up by texting all the lyrics to the songs on my iPod (preferably on the 4th floor) THEN sell all my things begin a 2 minute Reclamation of the Holy Land and promptly roll over and die/rofl :D

I'd do whatever it was I had planned on doing for the days gaming. I'd make sure to keep an twitchy finger out for the error of my disconnect screenshot when the servers eventually went down for good. There isn't another game out quite like this so after I'd wonder what to do. (and NO PSO:BB DOESN'T count as being the same)

I would sell all my stuff to NPCs, then waste all the money at any player shops that were still open and feed whatever I could buy to my PM. Then with whatever remaining money there was I would play any gacha machine I could find. After that I would just take pictures of my characters to remember the good times.
