Cheating your MST to use higher lvl techs

Have a few God/Minds that you only use for your other, Level 120 Force? Need help with your new Level 10 Force? Also have a good Mind Mag with that 120 Force? Have 2 controllers?

Play with both characters and let your 'level 10' guy borrow those good items for awhile, and try letting him use a few techs, say some that he couldn't use just a few minutes ago. Then give the things back to your 120 Force.

It maybe a big cheat, and you may be using too much TP for one attack, but at least you don't...

Well at least you have good, new techs now. I just did this and my FOmar 13 can now use Deband 15, from a Deband 3. lol.

I don't understand why people twink their characters like that. It takes all of the enjoyment out, for me. Not to mention it's a huge waste to let your low level characters use high-level techs, as it kills their TP in a few uses.

It's incredibly stupid to allow your level 10 force use a disk higher than 17, even thats a bit dumb. Why do you ask? Your MST drains like a bich when you could just still kill one guy with the level 10 disk of that. You should wait till at LEAST level 40 to use disks that are of the 25+ range. trust me, i know from expierence dude!

I did that inadvernatly. Forces can't use make mind mags too easily since they both wind up using the same items and you run out too quickly. So I traded mags with my other character so my Hunter could make a mind mag. however this caused the force to have a level 100 mag on her so I could use other disks very quickly.

yes being low level with high level techs can drain you quickly of tp.Which is why I do the opposit.High MST and low level techs.Even with a level one Foie if you have say 420 MST at level 1 you'll easily mow down enemies.Of course to have that kind of mst you need to make a mind mag on another character first.Like your high level rich Hunter or Ranger with an extra MAG laying around who can afford to feed it lots of Trifluids(WHEE!) and moon atomizers.Then as the enemies get tougher start getting higher level techs from your other character.God Minds also help out alot.Like four of them and if your mind mag is level 200 with everything to mind you'll easily have over 600 MST before your level 30. o_o

Who said that you HAD to use it? It's just a little trick you have to use wisely... ok it's a bit harsh on your Force but at least you don't have to worry about buying that level 10 Disk when you already have it at 15.

i do that all the time with my HUcaseal and my RAcaseal. The HU is a much higher level and greennill, so it's rifles-a-plenty that she can't use. i just pass them, and my older mags off to the RA.

of course, i don't play online, so it's for my own personal ammusement.

I think this is a good trick (one I've been doing since early DC days even) however, you have to use it very selectivly. Having your level 20 force use level 15 grants is just silly. The techs I would almost always recommend using for this technique are shifta, deband, and one good offensive tech like rabarta. If all your techs are high level you run out of tp too fast and your force becomes either useless or a meseta draining machine.

With new forces i usually get all the MST gear i can find and give it to them rather than loaning that way whatever techs i learn i should be able to afford using.

Twinking up techs is not really a good idea if the spell cost will eat up your tp, but twinking up everything else is the accepted practice of all twinkers everywhere.

Why? Because we're impatient, and it IS fun to crush everything with ridiculous ease. Enjoy it while you can because Ultimate will be kicking your ass soon enough.

Besides, it sucks when you go online and you're the only one still using a normal Laser (does not apply to Geist/Gush Lasers, which are tremendously useful). It just makes no sense to have useable rares on one char and not give them to your other char...
