* GM event, "Casino de Fever! ~Halloween Carnival~" hosted by Hiru Vol and the Volyales (the GM team dressed up in Rappy Suits).
* PSU Mobile event, "Catch the Star!" will begin using the cell phone game "Casino Volyale Poker."
* New decorations such as the Electric Fan and Striker will be added.

November, 2008
* Chapter 7 of EP3. It's your job to escort Dr. Tomrain to the photon generator in the Moatoob RELICS. Will we be able to restart the confinement system in time for the Unification Point?
* S2 ranks will be added to AOTI party missions.
* New S2 difficulty will be added to the previous MAG mission in Maximum Attack G+. Aside from that, the Naura Cake Shop will receive some new items and a new event exchange mission to be known as "Gifts from Beyond+" will have new items added to it. For the duration of MAG+, photon art EXP payout will be increased. Furthermore, a special leader board will be set up on the event's site for a time attack of difficulty S2.
* New S-grade weapons will be added to "The Arms Dealer."

I do think that they probably are better off not releasing a *get loads of exp for free* event each time they raise the level cap. Part of it is that they usually give too much incentive *outside of exp* to do the MAG event; but at the cost of you topping off so quick. Now I do notice that it said PA exp increased; but I'd be surprised if it doesn't also mean regular exp payoff will be super high, as it was before.

Heck, the last Mag event, I was all to happy to avoid playing too much just so that I didn't top off in just a day or two. Thankfully, even with my purposely slowed progress, I'm actually keeping a comfortable pace.

If JP's level cap is going to 180 within the next few months, I hope the monster levels will be 200+. I'm kinda sick of fighting monsters very close to my level (in a party, a team of 140s can wipe 160+ mobs...something isn't right about that.)

While I liked implementations like Just Attack when they released, it's ultimately made the game somewhat stale. I find that most missions are too easy (sole exception is the Magashi army, but there's no point killing those when the end boxes are still bugged). I had the most fun with PSU when missions like Desert Terror S2/SEED Awakened S2/Goliath S2 were somewhat challenging. It made working as a team more fun, and made rare feel earned. Now it's so easy that any sense of accomplishment is dulled.

It's a decent update schedule, but I guess I wish that ST would fix what are (in my opinion) problems with how the game currently is, rather than rehashing old events. Mind, it'll be a long time until we see any of this content, so I guess we should focus on our hippo PM updates.

You hit a very good nail on the head. I, for one, would be most excited to see some updates for monsters and drops before the interest for player buffs. They could take a page or two from the PSP version. Keep some rewarding stages that kick your butt without decent teamwork, and make it worth your while. We have enough of the game catered to being able to play casual or solo, but the entire game shouldn't be that way. It does seem more of a polar opposite of FFXI than WoW was. WoW, at least, has plenty of those epic quests that are suicide without a decent team.

The schedule does show that they are moving with things, but I guess it's been a long wish list of mine to see what they can do with monsters, besides simply sticking an instant incapacitation skill on them. (And give moatoob some *desirable finds*, already. Seems the most interesting monsters in the game get no love due to a bit of neglect of spreading the wealth.)

Though the PA EXP increase is a great idea for the event (at least it's a good change from the normal EXP increase), I hope that this event has more to offer than just that. A new map pattern would be nice. LV175+ enemies would be even better (assuming the next drop tier starts there, of course). Anyway, whatever comes of this, we should hear something on it relatively soon since the event will begin next month.

Yeah, you're right. Hopefully much sooner than later, then. I'd love to know just what they've got planned (and if it even is a full-fledged expansion and not just AOTI+ since we all know how they love adding plus signs to things now).
