Last night, it was just too funny. I, and a few others, were arguing with probably the most contradictive and hypocritical idiot I have ever come across. I'm not going to mention names, as that's just childish, but I'm sure some people that battle will know who I am talking about. The self-proclaimed "Most hated GC battler."
Anyway, since the last battle mode tips topic got a little heated and off-topic, I have a tip for people that want to start battling. It's the best tip I could ever think of.
Okay, here it is:
SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND KEEP IT SHUT.
Here's the shorter version:
SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!
I say this to all battlers, really.
Winners: Don't make fun of the loser for losing, try not to rub it in their face. It can really piss people off. However, if you REALLY hate the person, by all means, make that person's PSO life hell.
Losers: Don't complain. Remember it's all in the spirit of fun. After that battle, that's it. No more. So going on and on about losing is pretty much pointless. This goes out mainly to the people that aren't using a keyboard. Save yourself the headache of using the software keyboard.
How I can't wait for rule 6 to come out, this rule 3 BS is annoying for me.

I don't even bother with battle mode, it's just too damn monotonous.
Hunters are basically screwed in battle, cuz you probably got some uber l337 wannabe with a Frozen Shooter or lvl 30 Megid.
Oh. I completely agree with the mention of people who whine after losing.

Aw, just bring a Delsaber Shield and a pile of Resist/Evils and we'll see how Megid works.
Then again, never had to deal with a level 30 one... but it was fun watching it do nothing.
If you die, keep a sense of humor about it. I usually lose, but I don't run around shouting how unfair it is. (Even though it can be sort of unfair if you're playing as, say, a RAcaseal vs. a FO with some form of Zonde. XD Then again, I'd lose even if I had an advantage.)

Mag Launcher, most(I said most) battlers don't do rule 1. So megid or frozen shooter are not even a factor.
I, too, can't wait for BA6 to come out. I hate R3, but because that's the only rule that's decent right now, I'm forced to do it if I want to battle.

If you can deal with the monotony that is PSO, you should be able to handle any other monotonous situation throughout your life.
This game is horribly repetitive, but alas, that is the plague of all MMORPG's.
I guess you have to be a hardcore gangster to deal with PSO after a month of playing it... good lord I'd stab someone if they told me they thought PSO was never monotonous or boring.

i played rule 6 offline.....once....againts my self because my friend (the other guy who uses my gc) hated battle since v2 and hes the only person i know in real life who plays pso so i just wanted to check out how it was.hunewearls can now use auto guns at lv 26 ^-^ if i remember correctly or 23 i forgot @-@

but hey i will admit it i was one of those people who saw some one do that ice trick and i complained but i kept battling then i got pretty good but i still remember the day i meet my first few 'pros' i thought burger dog was a god lol he had like over 1,000 wins at that time .the most i ever saw on a character before that was around 90.....hahaha funny i just remembered why i kept battleing when i was a n00b i was trying to impress some one (my old best friend)....id never thought i would do something like that ever....

r3 is ok...its no r6 tho...the thing i hate is when someone is just running and you rafo em and nothing happens...or when..you rafo em and they just stand there..then all of a sudden you're both dead XD...also..its hella funny when your in a wall standoff..and the other person rushes the other...and get blasted with a face full of zonde and then whine..also..i dont think freeze traps should go through walls..gif goes through walls...the sound of a person warping into the same room is a flaw...only because i only play late at night and i cant hear them warp in because i play with my tv on mute...i share a room...and because theres a peron sleeping i cant shake outta freeze traps uber fast like usual...so if u ba me late at night and i take a while to shake out its because im not shaking...its not because i dont know about it...the 2 second invincibilty after dying is pretty weak..considering you can make contact with rafo right when you get up...but you cant get rafo'd..thats weak but ok at the same time...but its not something i'd change...r3 isa good concept...if they would just make a r6 with a bigger room..that'd pwn...and is it just me or....are there no @#$%^@# mechs in r3...mechs would soooo pwn...dam i miss r6..sniff.
I don't see the gripe about State/Maintenence.. it's a good item, and you know what, if you earned on your own, you deserve it.

Actually, I will complain if I see someone using a state/maintenence in r6, because you can't unless you cheat. The best way to solve this problem (DC) was to cast jellen on the person to see what happened, although if people ever cheat on GC, I have my doubts about identifying other units.... -_-;
About r6 offline:
My friend and I tried it offline. The first thing I noticed is how miserable my hunewearl's accuracy was when sniping across the room (n-n-h), and I know for sure it wasn't lag. It wasn't so great on DC either, but... well... it still sucks. The first thing my friend noticed was that his humar could use autogun right away. On DC, Humar had to be lvl 26, hune 32?, hucast 20 (if my memory still works)... but they lowered hucast ata, didn't they? :/ I'm not gonna say much about the technique damage, but I fear more complaining will go on when it comes out.

About the whole "wtf u hacker you got outta ice trap in 2 secs!", that shit never fails to crack me up... but people, if you DO run into these types, try to explain to them how to break the ice!
I feel dumb... I caught my first loss to a droid the other day while using my HUnewearl >.< ... close match though, but it shouldn't have been, since I've OWNED ALL BOTS prior to this... how the hell was I supposed to know the bot was SOURCE?! Meh...

Battle 6 is mega weak, noob. When you get in the 30's, you can ice block...
ice block... WWWWTTTTTTTTFFFFFffff, ice is supposed to eliminate blocking and resistance, but noooo, you can block, WHILE TRAPPED IN ICE LMAOAMA<AMLAMAA ~1!!
Battle 6 is going to be mega weak.

I never play the rules because they all suck...I just go in F1 in normal then noobs come in and that lvl 17 megid comes in use...well I could always use foie or something but i save that for last so they think they actuly have a change and then cry because Im using megid and then i use foie and they cry to thier moms...

I don't like the comment about hunters being screwed in battle. If one class is screwed in battle, it's rangers. Rangers are so bad for battle that they basically hand you a win the minute they enter your game.

I prefer to do rule one cause i built my force and rangers for battle, so why not try agains other custom made chars? rule one would be hot if there wasnt n00b children walking around with bkbs or other flamboyous weps...good 'ol rule one

This is because rangers were already terrible for battle mode on the Dreamcast, so they're effectively re-screwed for the GameCube.
Hunters were great for battle on the Dreamcast. All hunter games were the best.

I think force have to be the best in just about any battle. All you need is a char on ult that can move with out getting instantly killed and the right ID. Ive found alot of good techs in the short time ive been in ult.
