ok, heres what happened. i was quitting out of a team, and going to the lobby. it loaded the lobby, but you know how for a split second it shows an overview of the lobby then goes to the lobby? well, it gets stuck in that one split second part, so its not black screen of death, but its frozen right before you enter the lobby. any tips would help, i already tried the soft reset, that didnt work. and i havent turned off my gcube yet, im waiting for help. ALL MY RARES ARE INSIDE MY INVENTORY BECAUSE I JUST CAME OUT OF A TRADE ROOM, so i cant afford to lose my items. thanks in advance for any help.

If it's not making a cyclic sound then it's not actually frozen. Press the reset button to disconnect and save your game.

yeah, when I freeze in the lobby I don't lose any items either. I only lose stuff if I freeze in a game.

That only applies if you haven't entered a game yet. If you have, you lose all your stuff.
There are two possibilities. If your Gamecube isn't buzzing, unplug the ethernet cable/phone line and basically wait it out. The cube will eventually get a clue that it's not on and log you out.
If your cube IS buzzzing... turn it off. Your items are lost.
And regardless, KICK yourself for being dumb enough to enter/leave a game with your entire stock in inventory! It takes all of five seconds to bank/unbank items, and you'll NEVER be in this position.
Never, EVER enter or leave a game with unequipped items in inventory. EVER.

We aren't talking about when the game is actually frozen (when the buzzing noise is present.) We are talking about when the game isn't actually frozen but doesn't do anything other than sit there.

Not to be mean, but it's pretty stupid to have all your rares on you as you go lobby to game and back again. If your a long time player of pso you should have known this.If your new to pso welcome to the club and always remember to bank your items it's much safer.

Right but it should not have to be that way. We should be able to carry whatever items we want when we want. It is as if Sega sat down in a meeting and came up with ideas on how easy they could make it for characters to lose there items.

Perhaps, but I guess we have to deal with it, everyone does...Did any of those suggestions work? I'm curious...

I don't think we should have to deal with anything as long as we are paying monthly fees.
