I'm glad they picked HSM... I've been kinda wanting to get a hold of that 12* kubara claw, but forming a party has been difficult lately. :)

I always wanted to find a party to help me hunt for a Fuka-Misakic there, but it's not worth renewing for.

I can't see HSM being popular really. The reward items in S-Rank suck (compared to Bruce S and Egg Thieves S), and Ohga-Misakic is readily huntable anyway (and who doesn't have one of those after GBR...). That, and it requires people to work as a team. As we've seen, everyone spams White Beast because it's easy to profit/get rares from. With a mission like HSM that requires some polished teamwork (especially in S), too many people will get irritated and leave. People only ran HSM back when it released because it was one of the best sources of MP. Now it's much easier to get MP, and less people need it anymore.

While a Spotlight is better than nothing, it's still closer to nothing than a decent update.

I never really liked HSM, but good luck to those going.

Pretty sad that these mission spotlights that were once intended to be an added bonus to the NA/EU side are now just crutches for a wounded game without updates. If you don't agree with how they're handling this, just don't support it. Pretty simple.

I think it's a good idea that they're doing group awards now. It may not seem like much, but it's still a half decent event idea. World of Warcraft does something similar to it as a regular event.

Sat there for 25 minutes first looking for a party, joining someone who was forming S, recruiting passerbys, recruiting MORE when someone had to inexplicably leave, and finally getting a team together. The first two or three tries weren't so great, but after that we worked out the kinks and started blasting everything to kingdom come.

Getting a party of four is always the hardest part, and involves a lot of waiting and even a bit of sacrifice which turns a lot of people off.

And by "sacrifice" I mean being willing to run on a level lower than what your character is capable of. It seems hard for some people to play for the sake of playing, and developing teamwork with people you don't know (especially with newer players), rather than obsessing over rare items and their character's stats/levels all the time.

With one notable exception, every chance I've had to make a run turned out to be a good experience even if I was stuck with three others who knew nothing about the mission. (Those runs always failed, usually due to time...) It's still fun. Everyone cocks it up the first time so I take the extra effort to guide them through it and the next run is always a little better than the last.

On a good night, and I've had a few already, I'd be in a group with at least one other experienced player (to cover for the inexperienced) and we'd do four or five consecutive runs, perfect every time.

Totally worth it, IMHO. The fact that you are pretty much forced to make parties of four actually improves the experience. If they do another spotlight (and a real update would always be better...) I'd vote for Egg Thieves for the same reasons I like this mission.
