extended ending?

If you beat the game in ultimate mode,is there an extended ending? there really isn't much of one in every other mode. Just all of a sudden your at the credits. What happened to Rico? do you ever get to find out?

Yes, there are different credits so finishing ep1 on ult, there are also waaaaaay better credits for beating ep2 ult. <=== I was surprised when I saw it, quite a welcome addition.

There's also an alternate episode I ending. Back on the Dreamcast it used to be referred to as the URA Ending because you'd type URAENDING at the title screen to view it. I have no idea if that code still works in E1&2 since I don't have a keyboard, but you can still see it without a keyboard. From what I gathered, if you complete all of the offline quests for a specific difficulty and then defeat Falz on that same difficulty you'll get (or randomly get, not sure) the URA Ending instead of the regular ending.

I think Ura Ending still exists in PSO E1&2... but I wouldn't know, I don't have a Kb.

Yeah, I remember the URA ending in the DC version. But wasn't it the same as the other ending? I can't remember the specifics.

I'm glad to hear there is additional stuff for the Episode 2 Ultimate ending. It'll still be a while before I can see it.

Is the online ending for Episode 2 different from the ending for Episode 1? Or does is still just show the participating characters in little boxes?

Typing URAENDING will not get you that ending, only beating all offline quests in that given difficult will get you the ending, which, as far as I can tell, is 100% of the time.

I never noticed a difference between N/H and VH endings other than maybe the final couple of pictures. (then again, it's been a while (and I rarely do it) since I've beaten the game on VH)

Anyway, the endings on Ultimate are:

Episode I - You see Red Ring Rico on Ragol instead of your character. You see her using RED weapons, placing messages, etc. The final shot is a picture of her father, seemingly stunned, as he sees her.

Episode II - Red Ring Rico is standing as the camera circles her. Later on Flowen appears and they're standing with their backs faced toward each other. Eventually they both fade, and the RED RING and Flowen's Sword (DARK FLOW that doesn't quite have the strong photon glow) drop to the ground.

I took screenshots of normal-vhard episode I ending without beatnekoing any quests. They were the same except for the final shot with your chracter in front of falz.

That's bunk, I was hoping no one would spill the beans...


As far as the Alternate ending for EP1 goes, well I've only beat offline ultimate three times (most of my time is online) and I've had both the endings.
The normal one first, then the other two times were the Rico endings.
I haven't completed all the offline quests on Ultimate either.
One last thing, the picture with the Principal staring at Rico isn't the last one, the next picture is the last. It has Rico sitting on the grave in front of the Obelisk, the same as if you were to encounter her online after beating Falz with a Dark Wep.
It seems to me that Rico is in fact dead, but the Principal sees her spirit when you "release" her.
It wouldn't make much sense for her to hang around that grave if she were alive and kicking.

Dark Flow, Dark Meteor, and Dark Bridge.

As for the episode I endings: Normal and Hard are identical, but Very-Hard is almost completely different except when showing shots of the Pioneer 2 folk. Your character will be facing a whole different slew of enemies and the bosses will have different poses.

The URA Ending is a goofy montage of various critters and characters from PSO. It's comprised of things such as cute shots of Rappies and interesting situations of well-known NPCs like Bernie and Elenor.

Oh, so the weapons made by Dark Monsters doesn't count? Aww... it would've been so easy to use my Del Buster and a friend to use his Chaos Bringer Gun (I dont have it; don't know what it's called.)

From what I can tell, endings are almost completely random (with the exception of Ultimate). I've created multiple characters, and I think I remember seeing the same ending on Normal with a newer character that I saw on VHard with my other one. Either that or my memory is bad.
