Hey everyone

I remember back when the game started I was playing it but after a while I got tired of the online gameplay and soon after the offline story mode aswell. Never touched the game since

So here I'm, thinking of coming back after remembering that PSU actually existed and well I have a question for you guys:

I have the 360 and the Ps2 but I'm not sure which console to use to play. Is there any unique advantages in the diferent console version and regarding the online gameplay, Is the ps2/pc server active as it was when the game came out?

Another Question: Is the expansion pack good? Is it necesary for online gaming? Is the offline mode in the expansion good too? (Since the xbox version doesnt have offline..)

ONE LAST QUESTION:

How much has the online game changed since it first came out? I remember how repetetive it was when it first came out but I was wondering that if 2 years after that it would be fun to play again, and not just kill kill kill. That was my primary reason why I left so I thought I would ask this.

Thank you for your time and sorry for this barrage of questions! ^^;

Get it for the Xbox 360. The population is much bigger there. Plus you can have conversations with friends who are playing other games with the NXE party chat system.

Get the expansion, without it, your experience on the game will be extremely dull and boring. Seriously, the expansion is a must. You can only play new missions that get added with it. Also, lots of new weapons, missions, a casino, new rooms, everything. It's amazing. (You download it for the Xbox LIVE marketplace)

Well, no game ever changes completely. It is still kill, kill, kill. But there is a lot more to do and see. The missions are better, more rewarding, and yummy rare missions. ^^ Come back, trust me, you won't regret it. (If you get the expansion)

Answered Above. ^^

Thanks ^^ But this brings me to my next question: I've heard that the Xbox's expansion does not bring the offline mode, is this true? If it is, is it even worth it?

It does not bring offline mode. But it brings all that content to the online mode. Btw, you don't need a Gold Xbox Live membership to play. All you need is the Guardians license. And yes, it is really worth it. The game is awful without it. No expansion = Epic Failure. ;-)

No seriously, get it. ^^ lol

I actually have to agree with Blade...

If your options are PS2 or Xbox, I'd say Xbox.

However if you have a PC or can get a PC copy I'd heartily argue for the PC/PS2 servers ^_^

Bottom line: There are more people on Xbox. If you want to find a bunch of random parties to join (although on both servers they all sit in ONE lobby pretty much) Xbox is better. However if you want to have a group of people you party with FREQUENTLY and OFTEN I'd suggest getting on the PC/PS2 servers and getting in touch with me and my crew ^_^

Xbox is a stronger console and can run the game much smoother than PS2, however there are some areas on the Xbox where you will experience a slowdown due to improperly coded robots :P

So my answer:

PC version > Xbox version > PS2 Version.

If you only have the choice between Xbox or PS2, then amazingly I side with Xbox T_T

Hmm... Now I don't know because I already have the game disc for the Ps2 >_<; Damn, guess it all depends what I can get more easily, the xbox game disc or the expansion pack disc D:

PS. About the expansion pack in xbox: Is the "offline mode" experience harmed in anyway by being online?

xBladeM6x just because you still enjoy the game doesnt means the game is worth right now to play it.If you really want to enjoy the game buy the ps2/pc version.Offline mode is great and have lot of stuff

PC version > Xbox version > PS2 Version.

That about sums it up for me.

Also PC supports ventrilo chat, which is by far more flexible and easier to manage then the NXE chat. Don't get me wrong, NXE chat is a welcome addition and I use it frequently on 360, but it's got nothin' on vent.

Yeah, but he knows the Offline mode is PC/PS2 only. He also knows the Xbox has no Offline mode. If he want's to play by himself, or with others, he can choose. I am just giving him the basics of the difference online compared to 2 years ago. Plus an expansion means more content, so he obviously knows that it must bring a lot of good stuff, offline and online.

And yes, Offline mode is good, but It's all a matter of preference. :-P
