Scene skip glitch?

well as i continue to hunt my vijeri / resist sometimes it says "do you want to skip just before the battle with howser?" then other times it says "do you want skip just before the trial?" So is it luck or a bug?

when u died in battle with howzer and start again...then u get "do you want to skip just before the battle with howser?"
2nd is just standard, on your 2nd (or higher) run in story mission, u can skip long story with daddy and lumia

if u die i the battle with Howser u can skip strait 2 the fight offer Wis u can only skip strait 2 the trail

yea but im just running the first part...then all of a sudden do you want skip the howzer battle pops up? i havent died while fighting with him.
