whats the way you gring S-ranks?
ive been having trouble trying to find ways to grind well :shrugs:

I just use S+7 through S+10s in varying order trying to get the "There is no chance of failure" message. I'm not very ambitious so I settle for 3 or 4 grinds on my S ranks.

Next, I scream at the top of my lungs. If I man yells loud enough, he can accomplish anything.



Orrrrrrr, I grind in sets. Like 1/10 sets, then move on, and I usually take off when I have enough of it them at 5/10~6/10 or of the such (5/9, 4/8). Usually works the best for me.

I pretty much only grind my guns for more PP out of them, and to bump up damage somewhat, I hardly ever care to grind my melee weapons or tech weapons. I grind in multiples if my pocketbook can afford it. I'll take 2-3 of the same type of gun and grind one till i break it to shit or come out good. If it keeps coming out craptastic i've got a few more. Hasn't always netted me great results but some 7/7's to 9/9's have made me happy.

I use S+4 Grinders, I Grind S-Grade Weapons only to 3/10, thats enough for Me.

There isn´t much more to say that all is chance.
Some have bad luck, some are luckier then other.

If i get like a stack of S+10 grinders, and it´s like an Luck 3 day with grind boost.
THEN i might aim for 10/10, only then.
Otherwise, i rather have them stay at 4-5 with little breaks then to have 2/2 for being too greedy.

I use S+9 for the first grind and S+10 for everything else. 3* luck only.

Then hope for the best. There is no secret to getting 10/10s, superstitions aside.

here's my strategy:

I sell my S grinder base (60k per grinder on the 360 servers). With the income I generate, I buy a well ground (4-6) star version of any gun or tech weapon.

for S rank weapons, it's all about the %s, so those I leave to +1 or +2.

I've been disenchanted with the 3* luck, I've been far more lucky with 1* or no luck than I am with 3*.

It's all opinion based.

I shuffle the use of my grinder * levels in random ascending order - if a particular number of grinder breaks more than once in a session, I avoid it for the rest of that session. Just my habit. A silly one :P

Eh, I haven't grinded things very often at all. I did do some mass-grinding during the big bonus, but I wish I had have just sold all of my grinders because they sooo won't worth what they were going for.

I'll have to do that for my koltova gun. I really don't want that thing to fail, considering my Neuman Protranser won't be able to use Song of Death for quite some time, and the ATP boost from 9->10 would be really nice.

If it is a item I really want S rank.

1. S+4 or S+5
2. S+7-9
3. S+10 from there on. (If I want to take it that high)

However if I have enough S+10s I will totally use that all the way.

I don't grind anymore. I have no luck in this game. I just buy my weapons with grinds on them. All win win for me.:)

Quite simple, but rather difficult to do.

Grab 10 photon charges, 1-2 scapedolls, a team of 4, and charge at full-strength. Last I played, I did pretty good, won every battle for 1.5 hours until my final battle with 2 stupid Jarbos.. They went megido continously and my entire team was dead. I kept on using my trimates, then dimates, and monomates, and photon charges, but I only survived for 30 seconds longer than my 3 teammates. :(

Considering that my kill count was over 100 in 1.5 hours with S-Rank equipment and a full inventory, I can't believe my team was annihilated by just 2 Lv95 Jarbos when my team was 20 levels above them. I didn't save game too. :(

After that incident 3-5 weeks ago, I have yet to continue my Ambition of the Illuminus game. As for the note, I beat Episode 2 and got some of those PSO outfits. (^_^)

Edit: Oops!! I just realized that "grinding" implied upgrading weapons, not the general meaning of "grinding" in RPG games. My bad! ( -_-; )

When it comes to grinding weapons, first... I would try to make a S+5 using my partner machine, then go to the shop to apply it on. Unless it is a S+5 or better, I wouldn't try it. However, I usually use the S+3 on the non-grinded weapons until it reaches the +3 stat, then I use +5 and up. It doesn't always work though. It had broke on various occasions after +2.

I don't grind. They always break. I sometimes get lucky but I get greedy, then they break. I try again. Same results. I get 3/3 stuff in the end. Makes me wish I sold my stuff instead of grinding it into junk.
