If the game dostn freeze, don't press the reset button you'll loose your crap. As long as the game isn't frozen hold A+B+X+Y and then press and hold START. It will auto disconnect you and save your game.

Well that has happened to me once but instead of reseting i just let it sit there, no way im losing my character or items. Low and behold i got a message reading: Disc read error, please refer to your Gamecube instruction for further information. Low and behold a week later of hardcore PSOing, My Gamecube died altogether. Well the point to all this is, you guys that get stuck on that screen maybe experiencing early signs of your Gamecube dying. And i did say MAYBE.

I've had that disc error once before, but not of PSO, it was on RE Zero, I just opened cover, removed disc, replaced disc, closed cover, and it was fine.

It's A+B+X+ Start.... o.o Anyway...whenever I freeze like that, it'll let me do a Soft reset...not that I freeze that much...but sometimes...

I thought soft resets were just B, X and Start/Pause...?

Another funny thing that happened to me and my friend the day the Gamecube came out. He was playing Rogue Sqadron 2 and when he got to the end of the Hoth level it froze and made a LOUD buzzing noise. We promptly turned it off and it's never happened since.

my cube did the error message three times and i replaced it with a new one. it hasnt happened again. i also had a freeze during the hoth battle in rogue leader. the hoth freeze may be a sign of bad things to come.
