Perhaps thats where the codes on the pre-order bonus cards (and possibly any future codes) are entered?

Yknow, I never thought of that... that's probably it.

I'm sure every single pass code will be typed up eventually, much like every game with this feature (Spectrobes comes to mind).

Hopefully it'll only vend material items, but I'm sure several bonus/rare weapons could just as well be available. (As seen... somewhere on the JP PSZ site. I can't find it again. Had 4 example bonus weapons, one of them being the leek-spin leek.)

If there's a vending machine that accepts codes... well, I just hope it only gives out one item per code, per cart... otherwise it would eat a hole in the game progression.
