I've been playing PSO since it was on the Dreamcast, imported Ver. 2, played the crap out of GameCube version, and tried PSU on 360 (which I did not enjoy).

So as you can see, been playing it for a while.

I'm worried about not being able to understand quests or kind of what to do. I actually don't remember doing very many quests myself except the ones that gave big EXP. And understanding the story will be a problem too.

Are doing quests crucial? And will there be some sort of walkthrough?

Thanks.

I havenīt found any directly wrong with not knowing the actual story.
Itīs straight-forward so you canīt really get stuck.

Taking on quests is the only way to proceed the story, itīs like the Hunterīs guild in PSO.
Take a quest, proceed to beat the hell outta foes.
MISSION COMPLETE! XD

Of course, it'll still depend on your own taste, but seeing you're a veteran should give you little to no problems at all!
