I also got a Hyuga mail, but i thought it were a virus w/e mail so i deleted it without even opening it and not giving a second thought.

I couldn't figure if it was a PSU parody of those mails asking for your credit card informations for some inheritance stuff from an arabian emir, in your super-far family, who just died ; or if it was some original way of preparing a kind of player based event.

Either way, I call it genius.

I was actually considering replying to the gmail address just to see what it's all about, I need something new to do in PSU (who cares about the meseta, anyways). Not like if they could get anything more than my email address they already have, and my name, if that's a big phishing fake, anyways. :lol:

I mean, all those who got this mail have a MSN Messenger address in their PSOW public profile. And besides Kiz, all those who didn't get anything don't have any mail address made public on here. Not without sneaking into their profile and check the Contact Info tab. (I won't go to check every poster profile on this thread to verify that. :wacko:)

What someone is likely doing is going through people's profiles and seeing if their e-mail addy is there, just grabs it and off they go phishing.

It makes sense, in a way, how they'd do it. They'd pretype the whole letter, then save it in a Word Document. Once they opened up the 'e-mail typing' spot, they'd copy and paste the whole thing, and send it off. But, why would ANYONE do that? What reason would that happen for?

BTW, just a curious note, do you think this person has sent it to only high level players? Most levels are seen in sigs anyway, right? Or on the profile. =/

At first, I thought some kind of original (but bad handled) way of recruiting people for some sort of player-based event. Now, this thread by itself just answers to your first question. I bet the person who did that is having a good chuckle reading all what is posted there.
As for the levels, definately no. I'm barely at lvl 100, not to add my profile on there hasn't been updated in ages (still displaying chars at lvl 40 or something while they aren't anymore).

TBH if I got the mail I would just play along and see where it takes me.
