I haven't left you all, and I'm not dead. I had a lot of work to do over the winter holiday. That, family visits, Persona 4, and Wrath of the Lich King have all kept me from posting here for a while.

I'm back now, so...

Ha...ha...ha. Ha. Hehe.

Yeah, running that was kind of annoying. I would have to come up with a new scenario and a new plot twist at the end, and... *rambles on and on about how he/she doesn't want to make a new zombie game*

the only problem with copying dante's quest is it doesn't leave room for all those horrible yet awesome punishments and insanities that FKL is known for... for instance, being forced between listening to an amateur play violin or listening to an emo's poem

:( lv80 got boring already?

Tact

:( lv80 got boring already?

Sadly, it sort of has. The daily quests are spread out all over Northrend, and the biggest concentration of them (Icecrown, arguably) has the most annoying quests to do. I haven't gotten into the Sholazar Basin ones. Maybe I should try those for money.

Leveling up my professions has gotten really freaking hard. In Burning Crusade, just about every level 70 monster could drop two or three Netherweave per kill. In Wrath of the Lich King, you either get no Frostweave (half of the time), 1-2 Frostweave (48% of the time), or anywhere from 4-7 Frostweave (2% of the time). I need 15 Frostweave Cloth just to make a single Bolt of Imbued Netherweave, and I then need at least six of those to make anything that can raise my skill. That means I need at least 90 Frostweave to get anything good, not to mention all of the Infinite Dust that I can only get from rare items. (They seem to drop more often in dungeons, but then I only have a 1/5 chance of winning them...)

Enchanting is also a bitch to level up. I need those aforementioned rare items to get any materials for Enchanting, and then I need a ton of Dust and a ton of Cosmic Essences (obtained from these rare items) in order to do anything with them.

It's hard to get money, it's hard to raise my professions, and to top it all off, my guild is starting to do 25-man raids that I don't have the gear for doing. These raids are on Saturday nights, the only nights when I can raid. If I attempt these raids, I'll probably bring the rest of the guild down with my bad damage output.

There you have it. I'm basically stuck with nothing to do that won't require at least five straight hours of work. I'm more of a casual gamer...I can't do this all the time.

TheOneHero
Jan 7, 2009, 06:13 PM
Tell your Guild to get better to make up for you so you can get stuff.

That's my biggest problem with WoW, it seems if you aren't 1337, you shouldn't play much of the game. >_>;

Are you kidding? I can't hold a bunch of people back just because I'm not doing as well as they are.

TheOneHero
Jan 7, 2009, 06:19 PM
So you have to lose out? That's not right. =/

Catch 22, I hate thee!

Tact
Jan 7, 2009, 06:20 PM
So you have to lose out? That's not right. =/

Catch 22, I hate thee!

Would you rather let 24 other people get better gear, or have them all wait because one person doesn't compare to the rest of them? It's a bigger net gain if you let them go ahead to the higher-end content.

TheOneHero
Jan 7, 2009, 06:22 PM
But you don't get better gear! It seems you only get it if you raid, but you don't have the gear to raid.

The only way to get ahead it seems, is take you through. >_>

Tact
Jan 7, 2009, 06:27 PM

Oh, no, I do 10-man raids. Each level 80 raid has a 10-man (normal) and 25-man (Heroic) version. The Heroic versions are harder, but they will give out better loot. My damage output is barely good enough for the normal versions, so there's no chance of me doing well in the Heroic raids.

TheOneHero
Jan 7, 2009, 06:31 PM
Ah, well that makes sense. >_>

Tact
Jan 7, 2009, 06:37 PM
Yeah, so...I would actually bring the guild down in the Heroic raids with my current damage output. I should just stick to Heroic dungeons for loot and equipment.

TOH, have you gotten your silly Battle Chest yet?

TheOneHero
Jan 7, 2009, 06:39 PM
No! ;-;

Blizzard is being dumb.

Tact
Jan 7, 2009, 06:41 PM

TheOneHero
Jan 7, 2009, 06:43 PM
I'd do it to!

They said because of the holidays, things ordered from December 25th-January 5th wouldn't ship out till the 6th.

I ordered mine on December 27th. >_>; (Still hasn't shipped, but it's been processed and ready for shipment for over a week.)

Also, at the time, I didn't know about the holiday shipment thing. -_-

Tact
Jan 7, 2009, 06:47 PM
Well, get it shipped faster so we can play. I want to get rid of all this Netherweave.
