I did a search and couldn't find any threads on photography. Found the pictures of yourself one, but no artsy fartsy photography thread. So now there is one.
Chuck up some fancy photos you've taken. I'll get the ball rolling. Some of these are from a while ago when I wasn't as experienced. They're in order so they should get better as they go along.

I have a really crummy camera but I've hiked many miles to get to interesting places.
Burnside's Bridge at Antietam.

Abandoned bootleg mine, looks like it is going straight, on the level, it isn't! It is going down a pretty steep little hill.

It would be nice if people put these things in spoiler boxes or used the attachment feature. It's not cool to wait 10 seconds for a page to load. :/

yes! I'm in photography 2 class
I took photo 1 class last semester.
you would Def. need a camera for photo class
but 1st of all start off with film before going into digital that is what my professor said.
My Professor said Challenge yourself with film before going to the digital side. I learn the technics to photography like the 5 lightings
45 degree key lighting
Side Lighting
Front lighting
Back Lighting
90 degree
Also some other shots like "Rule of thirds" you will have to learn as in not capturing a picture in the center but it comming into the picture. ( if you know what I mean )
For ex.
Like a Car moving into the picture but its not center. I would use like 1/1000 or 1/500 with F stop 11 and if it's for a project you def. need light.
there is a lot to learn with photography like F stop number Shutter speed etc etc.
like
Bulb 1/30 1/45 1/60 1/90 Tripod 1/125 1/180 1/250 1/350 1/500 1/750 1/1000 1/1500 1/2000 or more the more expensive the camera.
( yes math. )
and with textur you would Def. need the sun with this. so you can move with the sun to see the Texture. for example wood. like old rusty wook. and the light from the sun is shining down. take pictures and move with the subject you can see the texture. just like the 5 lightings.
I just bought a $1,200 Camera like 2 months ago it's a cannon 40D after challeneging myself with a Cannon Rebel T2 Film from photo 1 class. I even bought a $400 cannon flash. too. so. i'm getting there little by little.
I have a lot to say thats not all..more explaining about photography it's not just taking photos. you really have to learn if you really want to be a profession. =)
because that's what i'm trying to do.

Thanks. My neighbours rooster woke me up so I stormed out of the house in a huff. Wen't for a drive and noticed it was foggy. Went back to get my camera and got some pictures. That was taken the same morning as the fuel/gas pump.
