Scheduled downtime for security upgrades on January 22 [Archive]

Just posted this on the front page, but figured I might as well point it out here, too.

Next Thursday, January 22, starting at approximately 8:00p.m. PST (4:00a.m. GMT, Friday), all SEGA websites will be down for a security upgrade (http://boards2.sega.com/psu_board/viewtopic.php?t=96239). Downtime is expected to last for about two hours. During this period, the Phantasy Star Universe servers will be inaccessible, along with the billing servers and all other SEGA websites. Due to this downtime occurring so close to the time of normal PSU server maintenance, it is possible that the game servers will remain down until normal maintenance is complete.

Man, seems they'll find any excuse to take the servers down nowadays... how often has this happened in the last few months?? o_o;

I just hope they give us another good update along with this... *foresees imminent rollback* >_<

too much to hope that this update fixes the windows 7 problems?

seems a lil soon for a fix compared to the usual sega stuff
