Note that Sega never ended an event and gave new (real) content during the same update. There has always been at least 1 week between the end of an event (GBR) and the next update with content.

So I guess everyone could keep the "Sega sucks" comments for next week. I'm aware we're already that far behind schedule but that's how they always did. And I guess that' would be a way to not mess up data (and give us yet another rollback).

At least, I'll be waiting 'til next week before complaining.

Not really any shocking news there!

What i really dont understand is how tough it is for sega to actually do something.
PSU isnt really the most advanced game, and ive played WoW, Runescape, etc. and there are regular updates that bring new stuff out!
Why is it so hard for sega to actually do something, the graphics arent that good, most of the time they just re-skin monsters, edit exp drop, re-skin a mission and give it a new name.

Not that hard in my opinion....why cant we get the japanese sega team???
Oh well, shot gun leveling ftw!

We got Neudaiz GBR the same day they took down MA:G 2...So, no, they don't always wait a week between events.

Called it. ;) I'm pretty sure the only reason they extended the GBR is because they had nothing else to give us. I wouldn't worry about the lobby lasting so long though; that doesn't mean we won't get something else in two weeks.

The event was called off for 2 months, and it was holding everything back. On top of the fact that it was an EXACT clone of what we already had. So the theory behind that was to be just done with it already. The problem there was to get authorization from SEGA to put it in. In this case, the carnival is glitched. Two completely different situations.

The way I'm looking at it, they're at a dead stop with this Lightning Carnival. How long have we been waiting for it? There's still a chunk of S2 missions we need, the Arms Dealer, and the whole Shred the Darkness event. If they can't fix whatever problems they're having with the Carnival, then I just say screw it and skip it so we can catch up.

Golto
Jan 14, 2009, 02:14 PM
They already gave us 2 gbrs that the JPN got after the Carnival so maybe we will get a 3rd before they give up on the carnival or pay a few hundred bucks to a real 360 programmer to fix the problem?

Edward had a post that stated they are still working on compensation for the 2nd rollback so the gbr extension was not a result of the 2nd rollback. So the extension was just lazyness of not wanting to give us an update.

Sega, how about you compensate us by promising to give updates at least twice a month? I would really like to play PSU again but I need to know that content is coming. I don't want more compensation(Wouldn't it be funny if they had a rollback after they gave more compensation? Like all S+1 grinders would have a 100% chance to 10/10.) I just want to move on with content and actually enjoy playing PSU.

It would also be nice if SoA would grow a pair and just announce compensation instead of waiting for their Japanese Overlords to give them permission.

I thought they already did the compensation as part of that whole "2 weks of max luck, +10% grinding boost, etc. etc." stuff? I know one or two of the bonuses were "holiday" bonuses, but they said the others were compensation (unless they're compensating for something other than the most recent rollback now).

meh, i dont see the reason to complain, we got master classes (which so many yelled about for the longest time...) just finished up an event.....why complain now? do you really expect to get another large update as an event ends??

not that i expect more, i know were far behind, further then we should be, and im not here to defend that. but i swear we could be given everything in one large update, with extra stuff not out in japan, and people would be complaining within 1 to 2 weeks...

I don't understand what the big fuss is?!? First off, we have always got'n a big security update before a big event like Max Attack G or 1UP Cup. So that should be the first clue as to when the event might take place ( I wonder what I'll be doing the 23erd hint hint). Second there is alot that go's into preparing for somthing like that on the programing side. Unless you want alot of gitch's, GLITCHING, and rollbacks I'd just keep cool and let them do there thing. We just had a month of fun. Now lets lvl some skill's and get ready for the next thing coming I say.

Compensation is needed for the lack of care and a history of rollbacks and late updates especially on the 360 side in febuary. Let them compensate especially when theres little point in playing at the moment.
