Per topic:

Just went FM, and went through my meager S rnk Armor supply.

...and realized I'd been depending on Gunner-only armors.

Crap.

...and then found that the new line armor "Vijerina Line" is also Gunner-only.

(I'd thought my 26% V-line would be a good FM armor)

Double Crap.

Researching this issue, I find only 3 Armors are 'FM-friendly'.

IE: Arm/Body/Extra Slots (Cast as my Main character).

Serafi-Senba (Good Luck getting a 20%+, much less higher)
Armas Line (Specialist Only; IE: no GT, FG, WT jobs)
^- but Armas is a *hard* to get and synth item.

Lastly, Yiel Line (Hunter Slots, very nice - drops made).

Is this true for the Regional Servers, or am I missing something?

No, you're just realizing what most people have known for a while. This is why Serafi-senba and Armas Line are so expensive :P

I think Rabol Lumirus falls under "FM friendly," but it's ground only... =x

If not those, I guess giving up a body slot wouldn't be too bad... something along the lines of a Shinowa Line or an Asura-Senba. As long as status effects aren't a big problem in the mission you're doing (since obviously you can't use a /Resist unit), you could probably get by with something like these.

I use shinowa line for some elements, where I really don't need a resist unit. the +3 sta from the shinowa helps too, since I don't want to pay 100+ for a vijeri, I use dark shinowa and have 17-20 sta, depending on class.

Thanks for reminding me about Rabol Lumirus. Kinda forgot about that one - and it turns out I've got one around 25%.

Drats. I'd been running as a "Gunner" class for so long, I'd not realized the scarcity of hunter-slot focused S ranks armors.

Guess I'm going to spend a lot of time at Seed Express for Armas Line Boards, and for Yiel Line.

... Welcome to the world of cast non-gunners. This was even worse before neudaiz GBR. Rabol Lumirus is your best bet, and in the absolute worst case you could use a shinowa until you get a serafi to replace it.

Well, thanks to Parnum GBR, I've a 17 Dark Yiel, and a 26 Fire Armas. Adding to that a 28 Light Serafi, and a 25 Ground Rabol Lumirus, looks like I'm in need of a Ice & Lightning Serafi/Armas/Yiel.

Anyone willing to help farm Seed Express? *Sigh*

Thanks for the confirmation, even thought it was bad news.

Thanks for the offer Fay; unfortunately, I'm on the PS2/PC side, running on a PS3.

Seems that there's a number of ppl running SE today, shock!

You could try getting away with De Colte Line.

It has Head/Arm slots, so you could use an S-rank Mind unit and whatever Arm unit you prefer, and the +20 STA will definitely help. You'll just have to be even more proficient at dodging, because you have noticably less HP.

Edit: Oh, I just read you're a CAST... well, that changes everything. >_> De Colte would work well for a non-CAST, though.

I actually had considered De Colte Line - but the 'set bonus' weapon is C rank. Gah.

Still noticing 'enough' parties running Seed Express for now, so who knows - maybe I can score one of the three FM-Armors I need.

Hey, I'm still using my Orpa-senba collection. Yes, maybe they have worse stats than the others metioned, and no extra slot, but I find resist units more useful for anything I can't use a Sol Atomizer to get out of than an extra bit of Stamina that guarantees nothing. Also, they are much cheaper than Armas/Serafi etc. so it's easier to get hold of higher %'s, which massively make up for the lower stats.

They are not that far off the Serafi-senba actually, but massively cheaper.
