How to recover lost items from FSOD?

Okay, awhile ago I heard about how exactly to recover items you lose in FSOD. It said something about loading your character to multiplayer mode, and doing some other stuff. Me and a friend just got FSOD, and lost good weapons, lol. And I have no idea where that post is that told exactly how to do this. Any help?

Go into multi and you should still have all your items, bank em then save and quit. Worked for me earlier.

Go into multi? Just go into it? No adding chars to the temp. slot, or anything?

i heard that you go to multiplayer and have the card with the FSOD in the second memory card slot and have another card in the first memory slot.. then you move the FSOD char onto a temporary slot in the game and you should be able to recover something.... i dunno
