To be more specific, you should mention which chapter 4 you are talking about.

There's mission 4 offline mode (episode 1 chapter 4)
There's mission 16 online mode Shadow Conspiracy (episode 2 chapter 4)
There's mission 26 online mode Farewell to Mother (episode 3 chapter 4)

Which chapter 4 are you referring to?

He provably wants to unlock extra mode, so offline mode, but you must know that you don't unlock all the content in extra mode if you haven't beat the game completelly

Is chapter 4 Hive clean-up. If so I hate that mission so much because I end up wasting time clearing the room and running to each switch.

It takes a few hours. Jus tnote that when you first unlock Extra mode, you have minimal content. More is unlocked as you progress through story mode.
