Does the PM's production level have any effect on elemental % or is it totally ranom? Also I noticed that my level 80 PM has a much higher chance of successfully grinding an S rank weapon than an A? That really makes no sense :S

Elemental % is random, and the success of S boards is higher because they each only have one chance to synth an item, while A boards have 3 chances.

A boards have 3 chances? :O You learn soemthing new everyday, i always wondered why my PM kepy running out of board space even after i'd been synthing items lol

and by the way you responded, i take it that you've NEVER synthed an A rank weapon since you played PSU, correct? Just S ranks? >_>;

No I have, i just never paid much attention to if the board was removed after synthing, and because the % success was lower they usually failed. But yeah i've synthed a few more S ranks, but i've always been more about buying weapons and finding ways to make money really quickly and usually do very well out of it ^^
