well...personally, im a DC pso veteran...and we were forced to get use to cheating. It was all over the place..so currently I dont have a problem with duping...but dont flame me yet...what i do have a problem with it duping all these ult. weapons, like the J sword, and these 10 sec. ago nobodies just run around and kill everything. I dont mind duped mag cells or anything...because mag cells dont do much more than give ur mag a kick ass new look, and make them lvl quicker. So, little bit of duping im ok with, but when people start to hand out BKB and J - swords...thats what ruins the game... IMO, lol PLZ DONT FLAME ME!!!

*the following is not flaming*
Heh, ya can't really have it both ways, i mean if people have the ability to dupe and a lack of interest in actually playing the game decent, they're going to dupe everything and anything they'd like more of. By the by, I (along with way over half the people on this site) am also a "DC vet" and I find that that makes me hate duping even more because duping was a big part of what ruined PSO on the dreamcast.

Since my replies always turn into flames, I'll second Raist's post.
You can't have it both ways, either you like/are a cheater or you aren't.

You can have it both ways, not everyone has to pick a "side"
I really don't give a shit about people who hate cheating and people who do cheat

I love how people seem to quote things I've never written. LoL!
I didn't say pick a "side," my post implies you either support cheaters and cheat yourself (via using cheats, creating dupes) or you don't.
Don't read between the lines, I'm straightforward.
I'm glad you don't "give a shit" (see that's how you quote, you actually stated that) about people who cheat and those who don't, but I do. So, I'll continue to express my views on their actions.
Not everyone can dismiss cheating as easily as you do--as others have stated, when you have a negative experience with cheating, I'm certain your stance will change.

I heard horrible stories about the dreamcast, like removing items altogether! I don't know about you, but I don't want to live in a world like that. I LIKE ITEMS!!!

Did'nt mean that you said side, I meant how everyone seems to pick a side. People around here either really hate cheating or do cheat, I just don't really care about either.
As for having an experience with a cheater I have had many in DC version, it sucked but I did'nt start hating everyone who had a GS or dupes

Lol! Worried about losing items? How about losing your character? Every time you join an open game, someone tried to do just that. Oh, and constant FSOD in lobbies from cheaters. People killing you with Resta. Stealing your EXP with insane % Needles in Forest.

Guile, man, it doesn't get any simple than that! You cheat or you don't; there is no in-between (and I welcome you to try and find one) http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I do not think ther is room for compromise.I either consider you a duper or a cheater .As everyone has been saying it is true that there is no "in between" or "sort of".Any sort of duping from a monomate to a Tsumikiri is wrong. If PSO were meant for duping, there would not be rares.

I have a friend that was also a DC player online with V1. He duped and hacked, using the cheat programs available and ended up with maxed items, and maxed characters, even Hucasts that could use magic. All this got him was sick of the game. He has the new gamecube version, but he doesn't seem to enjoy it nearly as much as I do. Every special he or anyone else picks up is now crap to him, and I think its especially torturous to him that he has a relatively weak, unhacked character since the gamecube doesn't have any real hacking programs. (Yet.) All I have to say is those of us that don't cheat will have an endless love affair with PSO, and those that do cheat will soon grow sick of the game and stop playing. Maybe they'll quit paying the online fee, but more than likely they'll become a plague of lobbies, hanging out and acting like they're cooler than everyone else. Oh well. Guess that's the way its gotta be, cuz I don't see Sega taking the steps necessary to put a stop to it. Another great game, ruined. Maybe I'll just stick to playing it offline.
