I can't believe I don't know this after 30+ hours of playing. But what is the punishment for dying in this game? There doesn't seem to one other than having to travel back from the town. Which is nothing if someone drops a pipe.
Thanks

no punishment unless you count your death count in your records as a punishment for having died too many times

But you still need to die 100 times for that one title (and thus for the "get all other titles" title)

Your mag loses some synchro points or something like that everytime you die but that's not really a big punishment.

Thank God for the lax Death Penalty. First time I died, I thought that it was the Ps Online effect, goodbye weapon and mes. I was happily surprised when I still had everything. Thank you, Phantasy Star Zero.

Yeah, words cannot express how incredibly gay it was for you to drop your weapon in PSO. Especially if you had a dick on your team that stole it.
In my mind, death penalty's are a necessity in some form, but making them unjustly harsh is archaic.

I miss xp loss or stunted xp growth as a death penalty in real MMORPGs. It makes people a little less sloppy in their gameplay
In PSO/U/Z it makes sense to have less harsh penalties since you tend to die more often, get killed unfairly, get one-shotted a lot. When I first start PSZ I kept dumping my meseta into the bank before missions so I wouldn't drop it when I died. Now that I know you keep it, I wonder why you would even need to store meseta in the bank

I agree with the Mesta bank thing Sammael brings up. The only reason I could think of about the Mes Bank is that its a shout-out to PS Online. I mean, The Dragon is in Zero, Vol Opt is in Zero(Oblivion City), and of course Falz is too.

Is the final boss in story mode (least i think its the last one - the boss that has pawns and then morphs into a black blob rhino looking thing) the only enemy u can fight that will let you die and then when you re-enter the world just start at the boss entry point? I don't seem to remember it happening with the other bosses and i would rather not die unless.. erm necessary ^^;

If you die at a boss, the warp takes you right back into that room, no wait, no walking. And, did someone mention Volt Op? I never met him. You mean Chaos & Whatever? They're nothing like Volt...

I usually put my meseta in the bank as a safegaurd for myself. So I don't spend an insane amount of it on something I don't need/want by accident.
