im thinking about starting a FoMar but i got some questions i wanna ask. Are they good in using weapons and is it effective cause ive had other forces before but they were kinda useless in ult mode. There magic was also useless and the magic was at very high lv's. So is it worth starting a FoMar?

FOmars have the highest atp of any of the forces, however they have the lowest ata. They get a bonus to shifta and deband, as well as the Gi series spells. I really like my FOmar, especially now that he has a Holy Ray (Sil Dragon, Utl. Bluefull). If you want a force that is stronger in techniques and MST though, I'd go for a FOnewearl.

Yes.... It's attack power is the highest among it's force brethren.

My FOmar uses mechguns most of the time. His level 30 S/Z work wonders, especially when combined with high luck, ATP and a good special ability such as Charge. If you want a bit of that hunter feel, use a Plantain Huge Fan, which is essentially a partisan class weapon that forces can use, and is a good substitute for the Soul Eater. However, with the advent of S Ranks, the S Rank Scythe may be an excellent choice as well. I just don't know its stats yet though.

As for his bonuses, he does get the 30% damage boost to Gi techs and Grants, in addition to 2x range on S/D.

I remember you using those Mechs, Tigereye (it's sheik from GFAQs).

FOmars are challenging to use, as it says in the booklet, so if you want a challenge in PSO, try using FOmars (although if you get a good Mag it won't be a challenge anymore http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif)

If you follow this link you can see how they compare, statistically, to their newman and female counterparts.

http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=690

To put it simply, they are the melee combatants of the FOrce class. I like them, but if I want to play a melee character, I'd pick a HUnter.

In my opinion, if you want to play a balanced FOrce, pick the FOmarl. She has the most balanced stats of the FOrce class, her only downfalls are crappy bonuses in spell-casting.

Grants 1.5 x damage Deband, Resta & Anti 2x range/effect are her bonuses I believe. So...for online play she's helpful, but those bonuses suck offline.

Edited for grammatical and spelling errors.

i got a fomar here with 1200+ (562) lvl 144 doing ult witha durandal showing who owns who..and i have no pow on my mag/slots and i dont use pow mats either..so shifta, deband, jellen, and zalure are helpers and it does the same for the ruins monsters

I've heard a few random people say that FOmars cast faster than other forces. Can someone set this straight for me?

Males cast faster than females, not just FOmars. So that would make FOmar and FOnewm have equal casting speed.

And their unarmed casting speed is incredible. I've said it many times before, but try casting several unarmed gizondes. Zap, SIZZLE!

Far as physical damage? My FOmar can deal great damage with his S-Assassin Blades along with shifta and zalure. Even though he misses a little too often in Ultimate, he can still dish out some REAL hurt when he needs to. Works great on stationary bosses such as Vol Opt's final form.
I wouldn't bother with physical attacks until you're at a decent level and have a good weapon, as well as a high level shifta and zalure, though. Spells should suit you fine 90% of the time. But that's just me. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Even though this has no bearing on the topic...a rifle is handy (if your stats meet the required number to wield one) early on so you can avoid close combat.

Though I used my handguns until level 10 or so...

When I get PSO for Xbox I am going to start a FOnewm. I was wondering is there any advantages to Fonewm.

I find rifles to be the best weapons for beginner rangers. At higher levels mechguns are awesome(need a high ATA to hit anything consistently)

Hey DarkTemplar! I am getting PSOxb also and I think I am going to be a FOnewearl.
