I got Scammed

Hey I just got scammed. i'm on the 360 side. I was trying to trade for red/knight. My friend was with me and he recored everything on his capture card. I have the time, ID's and his agreement to the deal recorded. I'm tryin to send a ticket to sega and is uploading the video so they can see but at the moment it's still trying to upload the file. (i wonder if its too long... i have one that's about 17mins and another that 2mins and it still in pending)

What i want to ask is if sega do see this will they do something and if i can't seem to upload the file is there any other way i can get in touch with a GM and let him know and ask is there another way i can send the video.

And if a GM read this Please help...

Shinko, you may want to cut out the unecessary stuff from your video and get straight to the point of the scamming. Or convert it into pieces to be on the safe side.

My working theory is that the 360 servers have a disproportionately higher population of assholes.

No, the issue remains in the people who are demanding more than a whole stack of meseta for an item. Not in a million years would I trust someone that much to engage in a trade like that.

Basically until those gold bars come out, there's gonna be a ton of trust issues unless you're a well-known player with no history of scamming.

Actually....I'm going to have to agree with The Destroyer to a certain extent...

Everyday you hear of people getting ripped off...and everyday someone else dose a trade. Take it at your own risk on what you do but that's why shops are put into this game. If something costs over 99,999,999 messta then its not worth it -_-

Not like this game is a PVP game where items DO matter...just for showing off imo

I'm not sure how to go about that and besides my friend was the one who recorded it. He has the video so I had set it up. I suppose when he get back on I have him do that.

For time being i just uploaded it to a website and gave sega the links to that site so they can watch it.

Yea thats how I am but I really wanted that red/knight and got ahead of myself ah. Well i just hope sega do something.... i may not get my money back but i be happy if he got banned

Sorry for your loss, though I have to at least give a li'l snicker at the fact that the majority of scammed folks are the 360 players.

But honestly, I don't really see how in all blatant hell can any item in this game can be worth more than 99999999 freakin' Meseta. I wouldn't even call that worth. I call that a waste of money to a greedy doorknub.

Anywho, hope your li'l issue gets resolved here. It's no fun at all to get smacked in the face like that.

Must be funny because we have 7 times your population on the 360. I mean come on. You have like 200 on ps2, we have at least a couple thousand. Or in a more fact-ish example, universe 1 is usually filled miday or so and sometimes 2 is too. PS2? I dont think so.

Dont buy or trade things from stangers. Would you buy something from a street huslter in New York? Buy things in player shops.

I'm playing on PC, actually. ;< Even if the servers are the same. Also, I don't see the point in mentioning that. It would be lovely if we had more folks, but...well, there's that ol' saying. "Quality over quantity." And it seems like 360's population lacks good quality. But that's my opinion from this side of PSU. Oh well.

Maybe I'm just optimistic then. I spent all of yesterday joining random parties, and I didn't get booted once, nor did I meet any "little kids or idiots".

Don't get me wrong, there are a bunch of cool people on the PC servers (Like Cracka_J xD), just lots of 'em seem like jerks =/

Im glad your lucky (or im unlucky lol).

To be fair i have made a few friends, but have meet way too many jerks that randomly boot when you come accross anything rare (bonus mission is a prime example)

Yea i didn't know you could have a GM watch of the trade. I wish i did. Its not like they make it know that they do stuff like that. Plus I would even know how to get ahold of a GM even if I did know that. They really should make that know more that they do stuff like that. And where would you find them when you need help.

After this experience, next time you should ask a GM to watch the trade (just to be on the safe side ;o)

Anyways, hope that you get your full cut of the deal. ^^;

Well, how are you trying to get the video to them, uploading it on a site like youtube or even someting like megaupload? Something like that might work, but you still need to get the size of the video down. Have your friend try re-encoding it, and stripping out the audio like other ssuggested. You could convert it into a divx video, or like they said an hx-whatever-number video (think those are .mkv files, a little better size compression but not everyone knows about .mkv's). Also, you might be able to reduce the resolution a bit. Just make sure you don't delete the source video just in case you have something go horribly horribly wrong.

That sucks that you got ripped off. I wish I had a story or something similar to that to make you feel better, but I'm lucky if I break 10 mil on a normal day, let alone seeing something as high as 30 mil, or even a whole big stack of meseta.
