Hey all, I'm posting this up here because I would like some help/guidance on purchasing a new pc with psu in mind. I'm by no means technologically minded (not even sure if that was spelt right) and I don't really use my pc for anything other than browsing the internet, storing music and pics and playing psu. I don't dl much at all. I've wanted a new comp for ages and I only have about £350 to spend. That's about $488. What sort of specs would you recommend? Do you know of any decent sites from where to buy? Any other info would be very much appreciated! Thanks.

I don't really know any UK computers store, but there's one that sells things for many european countries, Pixmania (http://www.pixmania.co.uk).

If you don't know much about computers, or if you don't know anyone that could mount the pc for you, if you want to buy an already made pc...maybe this:

This computer is not bad, probably can run psu with frame skip 1. ^^;
Probably in other stores there might be some better options...

If you can or if you know someone that can mount a pc, buying each component separately would be alot better, it would result in a computer with alot better specs than an already made one. The only disadvantage is that it doesn't come with an operative system x.x
Processor: Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5300 (2.6GHz, 2MB L2) (http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/2041586/art/intel/pentium-dual-core-e5300-2.html) - £67
Motherboard: MSI P45 Neo-F (http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/1244890/art/msi/p45-neo-f-775-socket-for.html) - £71
Memory: G-Skill 2x1GB DDR2-800 CL4 (http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/729891/art/g-skill/pc2-6400-cl4-2-x-1-gb-ddr.html) - £27
Graphic Card: Sapphire Radeon HD4830 512MB GDDR3 (http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/1773190/art/sapphire-technology/radeon-hd-4830-512-mb-ddr.html) - £90
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar GP 500GB 16MB Buffer (http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/1348810/art/western-digital/caviar-gp-wd5000aacs-hard.html) - £49.90
Power Supply: Corsair VX550 550W (http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/675268/art/corsair/cmpsu-550vxeu-pc-power-un.html) - £75
DVD Drive: LG GH22NS40 DVD±RW 22x (http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/2232535/art/lg/gh22ns40-internal-dvd-rw.html) - £18
Case: This one is more a personal choice ^^;
Total: £397.90

If it's too much, you can change the graphic card to a Sapphire Radeon HD4670 (http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/1637126/art/sapphire-technology/radeon-hd-4670-512-mb-gdd.html), which costs £60, and the power supply to a Corsair VX450 450W (http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/675269/art/corsair/cmpsu-450vxeu-pc-power-un.html), which costs £56. With the graphic card and power supply change, the total would be £348.90 (not counting the case).

BTW...do you need a monitor too?
